WR Byron Pringle is playing really well

After a season ending injury in the final preseason game as a rookie, second-year WR Byron Pringle has been thriving and taking first-team reps at Chiefs OTA’s. Wait, why is Watkins not out there?

Good.

I saw it was his daughters birthday, so probably something to do with that. |
He sure looked good in preseason last year.

Cody Thompson is going to make the team and play some snaps IMO.
Also think this Lovett guy could be a decent complimentary weapon at TE.

I called QB-to-TE convert John Lovett a dark horse to watch at No. 2 tight end, and the day-six workout only reaffirmed it (remember, they're not in pads, but Lovett made a few tough catches Thursday). Ever since Jesse Haynes, I have stopped caring about who the preseason star is. Because pretty much none of them ever did shit on the field in the regular season.

Jack Fox can eat 10 donkey dicks, no way he beats Dustin "MVP" Colquitt.
|
Jack "the sly" Fox is taking the **** OVER in 2019! It's time for "MVP" to hang it the **** UP already. The guy was drafted by Herm for ****'s sake!
Go play Frisbee with Damon Huard already. |

Camp reports are trash but this guy was fighting for a roster spot and showed out last pre season. I think hes a sleeper. I also think DeMarcus Robinson can be a good #2. Hopefully Hill is innocent regardless I dont buy that were ****ed without him.
|
Good to hear. He was impressive at K-State. Looked really good in preseason last year. The more talent the better. Camp fodder or not...

Around the third week in August the wide receivers coach will be calling him into his office and saying bring your bags with you, and don't look back and it will only make things worse.
I can see that coming a mile away. |
We got a problem

Anybody remember Pringle’s Old-fashioned Restaurant in Cameron, MO? Great salad bar.

Pringle has a spot unless he is just terrible.
There honestly aren't very many spots open on the team so should be some interesting battles for those handful of spots. |
because he sucks

You’re just assuming he sucks. That’s just as stupid as assuming he’s going to be good even if he’s a former UDFA. He flashed in the preseason and the staff clearly liked what they saw. |
I really see no reason why he couldn't be at least as good as Conley was...they have 2 WR spots open I'd rather this guy get one than dudes like Kemp and Dieter.

They’ll find and spot for Lovett too. He’s versatile

It's very early, but you don't hear a ton of praise for Hardman as a receiver. I could see most of his contribution this year on jet sweeps and as a returner.

Watch them make him a better te 2 than harris |

Yep, no reason to overpay for a punter with this offense. If you can get 90% of the leg and save some $$, you have to look at it hard. |
Lovett is intriguing, but since he's converting from QB, is he really going to be ready to play TE this season? I assume that he will show enough in camp to make it impossible to sneak him on to the PS and stash him there. But I bet they he is on the inactive list every week if he does make the roster, much like they did last year with McKenzie. I wonder if they would like to also have him as the 3rd QB on the team and save a roster spot that way. They only went with 2 last year, and if we are down to QB3 we're screwed anyway, so why not?
|
He can be used similar to Hill in New Orleans while he’s learning

Another thing. I noticed that Sherman is working with the tight ends. I wonder what's up with that? He played at tight end a couple of times last year. Maybe they're planning to increase his role with more of that. He deserves it. Fullback is a position of the past. But Sherman has always been a great team player and a stud on special teams. Not to mention, he did play great in the probowl. If he can get a few more snaps at tight end, I say go for it.

Speaking of DC, he is 37 years old and makes $3.15 million this season. I think it may be time for us to look to a younger and cheaper option. If not this year, very soon. |

We’ll see how these guys look in camp but it seems like Veach and his staff have a good eye for cheap WR talent in UDFA. Having Mahomes doesn’t hurt.

Yep, Mahomes effect should land us some good UDFA WR's going forward. Not to mention, that a guy like Mahomes will elevate any WR a notch or two. |

Hey, I'll take it. Kpass running with the 1's is interesting. It would be hilarious (and awesome) if Kpass and Speaks turned into great players now that they won't be trying to shove a square peg in a round hole. Kpass at a wide 9 might work. Speaks as a 3/4 tech would be a more natural fit too. |

There should not be anyone on this team from the freaking Vermeil era! JFC.

I’d legit feel bad for coquettish if he got cut then we won it all. Then I’d just think about that trophy and fap.
|
People forget that Tyreek Hill was a camp standout. Hey this 5th rounder looks good in camp! Lol Jesse Haynes gtfoh
edit: and cutting Colquitt to save a million or two is stupid when we're nowhere near the cap |
