Does anyone own a Kia Optima?
Been looking for a car came to the conclusion the Kia Optima is it. Looks nice and is affordable. I drive about 30 miles to and from work gets a good mpg on the highway.

Don't those cars turn into Transformers or something? Sounds dangerous.

You looking to pick up chicks or get good gas mileage?!?!?
Can't have both bro! Escalade needed! |
Wife and I had one when we lived in kc
Nice and reliable no complaints |

I work for a KIA dealership. I like the Optima. I'd probably get the Hybrid version, fwiw. |

My wife drives a Kia (Sorento), and there are no complaints. For the price you'd be getting a decent deal.

I do!
A 2016 LX 1.6T. It has the 1.6L turbo in it, which is more powerful and gets better mileage than the 2.4L in the car in the link. Mine isn't as fancy as that one but has everything that I wanted in it. The car is quiet, comfortable and I average 39 mpg in mixed rural driving. It has plenty of power for passing or whatnot. It's been trouble-free though I only have 13,000 miles so far so that is to be expected. I paid $20,000 (sticker was $26,500) in early 2017 for it and have zero regrets. https://i.imgur.com/ixhshhJ.jpg |
Test drive a Malibu, no joke I bought mine a year and a half ago and love it. It has an actual transmission not the CVT shit and turbo with plenty of power. It also just feels nice and rides really well

One thing to consider, Billay, is that the 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty does not transfer from the original owner so you will only have the remainder of the 5 year, 50,000 mile B2B warranty.
To be honest, if I were you, I would spend an extra $2000 and buy one of the new 2019 Optima LXs that they are advertising for $20K. You won't have leather and a sunroof but they are still nicely appointed and you'll get the full warranty. The new ones also now have Apple Carplay and Android Auto built in which the '16s did not. You'll also get a better rate and term on the financing. You might also consider a Forte. They are a little smaller than the Optima but not by much and are in no way a penalty box. The Kia site is advertising a 2019 Forte S with a sunroof for $18,550 brand new. Just throwing that out there. |

Especially immediately after a fresh detail. |
Olathe Kia Bill George.has 4 2018 units, I think I would go to the bank, get approved for an 18 used, new and a 19 and go shop them in Olathe.
I would never do business there* but if you can steal a car you never need to go back. * They Lied about carfax and sold an old GF a car hit in rear and traded with a hot tub for a trunk. I make him give her 2 comparable cars and a grand$ to forget about it. Again Beware of Bill George he won't let me in the door...... I bought a new Altima years ago new for less than a leftover from the last year, just depends on what they are offering at the time. |

And Lily wasn't pissing on my car; she was photo-bombing me with catbutt. It seems to be a running theme with her. |
I had a Kia and it was the best car I've ever had. A friend of mine had an Optima (that he bought because he liked mine so much) and seemed to like it. I've added the Stinger to my list of next car possibilities.

I bought an Infiniti Q50 with less miles (21,500) for $2K more a few month ago.
Way better for picking up dudes, Billay. |

For what it's worth, every time I've had a Kia as a rental I've been happy with it. It's gotten to the point that it's my preferred rental for a full size car. I'll gladly take it over a Malibu, Hyundai, or Jeep.

Some years had engine issues but I think they are much older than what you are looking for.

For $350/mo, you could pay cash for a F150 and just use it on gas?

And when we got it, I liked the styling much better than many other sedan type cars. I read that the designer for Audi had joined Kia and that was his first design with them. I now see that other manufacturers have tried to copy some of that styling over the last few years. One issue that I found out about recently was a manufacturing flaw involving the engine Quote:

Briggs Kia in Topeka did replace the engine last fall/winter when it suddenly started acting up. I realize that all manufacturers have their screwups from time to time but this one was a pretty major one. At least they finally did the right thing. |

Great cars and warranty from Kia and Hyundai.
Own the sonata currently. That stinger is lovely, I hope Hyundai does one also but I have a feeling they will roll it into their Genesis line. I was wanting the new blazer until they released that ugly abomination. |
Stinger looks really cool. But $33k starting price is a little more than I'd want to spend.
|
We were at the bank recently and mentioned that I’d be getting a car for Uber.
The bank rep said we’ll finance anything but Kia, lol. He said the depreciation is crazy on them, lol. |
Going to look tonight and possible negotiate

Have you looked at purchasing a lifted truck to compensate for your tiny dick?

A (gently) used 2017 Optima can still fetch $12/$14k on resell. It just doesn't have that Powertrain warrany |
Look at an Altima, one year older. Still the better car.
|
Drove the 2016 Optima EX fully loaded. If they can come down on the monthly payments I'm in
|
Yeah, I don’t have a clue why or how they decide that? I just thought it interesting that he’d say that.
Tbh, I happen to like a few of their rigs too. |

Hell, if you aren't a every-two-years car swapper, having a car that depreciates help on taxes.... And yeah, what I don't spend in recurring $500 a month car payments I spend in SCUBA gear. It's just wants and priorities man... |
Never have, never wanted too, but to each their own

We bought 3 KIA Fortes for our Driver Education program in 2016. They've been the best cars we ever bought; none of our instructors want to drive the others anymore. Very reliable, nice ride, well equipped, good gas mileage--great value, even if we'd paid full price for them (we bought them hail-damaged for about a $3K discount.) Lots of bang for the buck. I'm going to buy one or two of them at a heavy discount once we are ready to move on in a couple of years. I'm all about value, and drive it till it dies...still driving 3 great older cars. I hate car payments. The KIAs fit that profile.

Such an awful name. |
That was the one Clay said he was doinking or the one Billay wouldn't touch?
