Chris and Rich are in Nashville assembling a new lineup of TBC for a tour next year.

No Steve (obviously, if you read his book), no Marc, no Sven...

Sounds like CR, RR, Adam, and Tony Leone on drums. I'd wager a bet Andy Hess will play bass since Sven wasn't invited...but who will play lead guitar? Audley? Benji Shanks?

So which original members are left besides Chris?

Really, just Chris and Rich, the brothers. Steve is out, will probably never come back after the book he wrote...Sven and Marc are out after joining Rich in The Magpie Salute...Adam is on keys, he played on the Warpaint, Before the Frost Until The Freeze, Croweology, and Wiser For the Time albums (as well as being Chris's keyboard player in the Chris Robinson Brotherhood - and Tony Leone was CRB's drummer, as well). Don't know who's playing bass or lead guitar for sure...there will be an official announcement here in a few weeks, I'm hearing November, we'll probably find out the lineup then.
Safe to say it will be a weird hybrid of the Brothers with a couple of latter day members and CRB holdovers.

Thought the brothers wouldn't reconcile, apparently they've never liked each other much. Good news though.

They make a LOT more money together as "The Black Crowes" than they do with CRB or The Magpie Salute

Among recollections of disputes and violent episodes, Gorman described Rich’s brother, singer Chris Robinson as “the angriest person I’ve ever known.” He recalled an incident when Howard Stern asked the Crowes to play his 60th birthday party in 2014, and the band proposed to perform for free to thank Stern for his support during its early years. “‘'**** Howard Stern. I don’t owe that mother****er anything,’ he said, according to Gorman, who claims the singer wanted $150,000 personally to do the gig. He didn’t get it, and he forbade his bandmates from playing it without him.”

The report also noted that Gorman had “dreamed” of leaving the band before it finally broke up in 2015. “Chris wanted 75 percent of all the band’s income. That was quite an upgrade from the 33 1/3 percent share he had been receiving,” the drummer wrote, adding that he refused the suggestion of becoming a salaried employee of the band he helped form. “And that was the end of the Black Crowes.”

It's simply one of the best RnR books I've ever read (not to go all Ubeja on you, but I've read a lot of 'em).

The exchange between Ed and Sting at some festival in Europe had me in stitches, but the funniest part may have been at the 1992 MTV VMAs, where Kurt and Courtney Love pissed off Axl Rose and Axl wanted to beat Cobain's ass for mocking him :

Axl : "You better shut your bitch up!"
Kurt, turns to Courtney : "Shut up, bitch."
Axl seeths with anger.

So Axl says he's going to beat Cobain's ass. MTV producers are worried, Nirvana and GNR crew are worried...and The Black Crowes' trailer is right in between Nirvana and GNR's backstage.

Gorman walks out of the trailer : "I just want to let all you assholes know that the Black Crowes are ready to fight GN'R and Nirvana, RIGHT ****ING NOW."

Marc Ford is sitting outside as Kurt and Courtney walk by, and drawls, "awwww, well he's just a little feller..."

Which Marc Ford, king of tossing off some of the most face melting guitar leads since Hendrix with the stone faced expression of someone reading a newspaper, has a dry, deadpan sense of humor, so to imagine him deadpanning that line at that moment...brought a few chuckles out of me, for sure.

Never got a chance to see them live (except for on video), will def be trying to make it to this tour if they come near me!

So, Live Nation has upped their offer IF reunion has Gorman.

Gorman has demanded that Marc and Sven be involved, as well as Amy and Pete.

The new lineup that RR & CR have been rehearsing/auditioning in Nashville supposedly heard about this and walked out.

The drama never stops with these guys...GO CHIEFS!

Well, they've definitely got a Faces/Stones thing, which became less pronounced after the first album, but there's also a definite (and obvious) Zeppelin thing going on, especially from 92-01, but there are also subtle blues, R&B, country, and jam band influences that they wrapped up into one big awesome Black Crowe Burrito.

They definitely became their own thing, they assimilated their influences and transcended them by their second album.

But not only did they sound really awesome, the thing that separate them from a lot of bands that have a great sound are the songs, their songwriting is just PHENOMENONAL.

Right, because that was a whole 9 month period out of a 30 year career.

The Crowes were life changing for me.
I have a ‘Shake Your Moneymaker’ art rendition of the stoned Crowes tattooed on my body. Seen them live a number of times. The vocals, the lyrics, the melodies, - it always has and always will reach me.

Cannot wait to see this play out.

They were on Howard Stern this morning. Decent interview though the singer brother speaks in half-sentences and leaves a lot of thoughts unfinished. They did Talks with Angels. Love that song. His voice definitely isn't what it was though. Pretty cool they are doing their Moneymaker album start to finish on their upcoming tour.

I've seen them over 100 times, and used to go to multiple shows in several states to hear them play deep cuts and unreleased stuff...so not so much for me. And Sandstone is way the **** out of the way, especially on a Wednesday night. If I have friends going, I may do the Sandstone show...but reality says I'm one and done with the St Louis show the Sunday before.
