Pringle looks like a badass
This guy was open all night. Protection issues prevented him from going off like Watkins in Week 1.
In particular, this guy was open for a deep bomb in one of these, with great separation. I think we got a Watkins replacement.

Chiefs fans may want some good news this week, so let's talk Byron Pringle. This is a long ass thread, so just bear with me....

I think we’ll be ok with Hill, Hardman, Pringle and Kemp as our top 4 next season.
|
He's already better than Robinson IMO.
Robinson has good chemistry with Pat when it comes to scramble drills and such, but in terms of the offensive structure, meh. |
I'd think a lot more highly of him if he had picked up that first down.
|
If you can catch the ball here. You got a great shot at a career
|
How about his awareness? Needs to know where the first down marker is but he’s a natural route runner unlike Hardman and D Rob

They've all been infected with the "tyreek ability" or they think they do. Robinson does the same shit. When you catch it in the middle of the field, go forward and get what you can. Stop trying to outrun everyone to the sideline. |

Robinson can go get paid elsewhere. |

I still don't know how he didn't complete that 3rd down conversion. It's like he purposely went and found the only defender within 20 feet of him.

I'd be surprised if Robinson is back and Watkins honestly he'd have to take a new contract that pays him less and he probably thinks on the open market he'll get paid again he's 26....
|
I swear Watkins is like 30. He’s been in the league forever

The not running straight ahead seems like the opposite of what Andy would coach. I remember him telling guys to get down right after they make an INT because returns were risky. or his guys not scoring on break aways, rather giving up in bounds and letting the clock bleed in some situations.
Maybe it’s some of Pat’s style rubbing off but we seem averse to taking easy yards and making a good play. Always want the great play instead. Has cost us a few times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

No one is going to trade for Watkins, he isn't good enough for that and his contract basically means we have to cut him unless he takes less money which he likely won't do.

Which turned out as one expects. Dude needs to move down the depth chart. He's at best KC's 3rd best RB right now. Running game was better with Darrel Williams and McCoy. |

One game.. If he starts doing it consistently then I'll get excited. Good to see though. Thanks for the post Clay

Damien Williams had his best game of the season and he was the only HB who carried the ball against the Colts. |

It looked like he got shot on that third and long play.
Literally one yard from the first down, Odum touches him, and he just collapses to the ground. That was some of the worst situational football I’ve seen in my life. He had a great game besides that, but damn was that play costly. |
^ Be nice to know what he was or wasn’t thinking?
|
Would of been nice if he could of did a hook and ladder on that play.

I must admit, B. Pringle wasn't on my radar until last week after that great catch around the 5-yd line.
And he showed me a little more against the Colts. He's a decently big body (6' 1", 205 lbs.), with what looks like good hands and more than a little toughness about him after he catches the ball. What's not to like? I will say though, he needs to figure out when to go down. If he keeps taking some of those bigger hits, he's going to get injured. Save the hero stuff for when it's really necessary. That way he can play for us in the post-season. |
Current WR 5, Future WR 3 in 2021?

I still think he's WR2 with Mahomes. Sammy's last year.
|
I hope we get some new blood

I think Hardman goes off this year. |

I don't think need you a "lite" version of Tyreek when Tyreek is on the field at the same time if you're in a 2 WR formation. I'd rather have a guy who can box out a DB and is a better run blocker in that position. I don't really think it matters much as the Chiefs are in 3+ WR so often. |
lulz...just don't see it

Pringles looking to dominate this year.
|
Pringle looked pretty damn good in that Colts game last year as a #2. Not sure how often he got to show himself off after that game, as I don’t feel he was getting a lot of targets once Reek, Sammy and the gang were all back together.
He’s definitely not a slot receiver type, so if anything he could fill the #2 void opposite Reek once Sammy leaves after this next season. Hardman can stay in the slot where he can be most effective. Would love to see Pringle get a shot at the #2 next year. And the Chiefs are gonna need some ‘cheap’ offensive weapons when Mahomes gets his new record contract. Reek is not cheap, nor will Kelce be (assuming extended contract). Hardman will still have 2 cheap years of control left. Would be nice to get a big contribution from Pringle, who will be even cheaper. Gotta start finding spots to save money and losing Sammy’s cap # and replacing with Pringle would certainly help the cause. |

Dude got wheels. Wildcat pride! |

They're not gonna play man with Tyreek on the field. Pringle can sit down in the zones and use his big body to box out. |
Better than Gehrig Dieter or Marcus Kemp. He’s got solid hands, an amazing slant threat that the defense will let go because he’s not one of the top 4 threats.
|
|
Elite, good, meh,?, JAG
|
Pringle is basically as fast as Jerry Jeudy. In fact, many of his combine results were similar to Jeudy. That's not to say Jeudy isn't a better route runner, but Pringle is a similar athlete (at 10 lbs heavier).
Dude is going to break out. |
Pringle beat Oklahoma State by himself Thompson's freshman season. Watching that game is an eye opener. He is easily a #2 wideout in the league.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZr72rQO_hk
|
Apparently Pringle and Chris Jones went shark fishing together. Pringle is gonna be our D Rob this year. He’s gonna shine
