Cowherd thinks the Raiders are better than the Chiefs
I used to think he was worth a listen. His Baker drama is hilarious and he was right about that. Now I have to rethink all of my opinions. I just don't get it. We're going to destroy them in 2 weeks. Maybe he knows Chiefs kingdom will be angry as hell and the Raiders will want to listen and he'll get all the listeners and clicks.
The media's takeaway from this game isn't "The defense won a game when their offense was down" it is "Rivers gave it up, Chiefs suck lol" His power rankings: 10: Chiefs 9: Raiders 8. Cowboys 7. Vikings 6. Packers 5. SF 4. Seattle 3. New England 2. Saints 1. Ravens

10. Kansas City Chiefs
9. His monologue this morning was absolute trash.
The problem with Cowherd is that his ENTIRE analysis is eye test. That's it. Only it doesn't apply to Brady. He's like what do the Chiefs do well? Well last night they did a lot well that doesn't apply to Mahomes. He's the ****ing worst. |
He’s on record a million places saying he’s in the entertainment business.
He’s looking to rile ****s. That’s all. |
He constantly says "Mahomes doesn't win the big games and loses in prime time"...we win a game in prime time and he still babbles a bunch of nonsense...that's just the way he is.
|
He likes two players: Brady and Wilson and only Wilson because he's from Seattle.
But I work at Fox and his stupid show is on everywhere |
Cowherd is just another skip Bayless with a different schtick. They want attention and ratings.
|
We've looked like hammered up shit lately. Loss upon loss, key injury upon key injury, stupidity upon stupidity. The offense is a shadow of what it was in 2018, and the defense is only marginally better.
We've got problems. This is not a team that's playing like it's a threat to dethrone the Cheatriots right now, and that's just a fact. |

I know we won, but i didnt walk away from last night feeling any different. Right now our offense is up and down, we haven't shown the ability to close out a game, our run defense is STILL highly suspect and our special teams is starting to show cracks. The situational playcalling has been questionable, we still lack a run game and our backs and receivers have been fumble/mistake prone. If our offense were bullet proof like it was last season the narrative would be different i can assure you. Right now i think it's understandable why pundits would have their doubts. With that said, **** the pundits. |
Quote:
Can't get mad at pundits for that. These are the same people who picked the Chiefs to go the SB. The Chiefs made them change their minds. They can get hot and make them change their minds again. That's all their is to it. |
This game was not a good microscope to let anybody know who the Chiefs or the Chargers actually are.
Also it's not like the Patriots don't have problems of their own. |
I really hope Hill plays. We will find out in two weeks who rules the division.
|
Only reason to watch is Joy Taylor.
|
I don't even have to listen to Cowherd to know he may be right.
The Chiefs are not a good team right now. See Detoxings post. |
Well, if/when we get healthy and if/when we can play a complete game, maybe we’ll convince some people (and our fans) that we are a legit contender. Until such time, I have no issue with his rankings........primarily because they don’t mean shit to me.
|
So? They might be. We are 1-3 vs the AFC South
|
Seems like a fair assessment. Our ceiling is far higher, but it's hard to say our performance this season has been definitively better than theirs.

In Sagarin recent ratings, we are a -2 fave. So basically close.
|
Good. Let him.
They beat the Bengals by 7. I can see them losing to the Jets |

Cowherd loves Reid and he ranked the Chiefs highly to start the season.
The Chiefs have disappointed so far. I actually agree with him on this one. |
Quote:
Just because CP says someone sucks is pretty much meaningless anymore. |
Honestly, they might be.
Chiefs need to reestablish dominance on December 1st. Unfortunately I’m not sure that Fat Andy is up to the task. |
Quote:
That shit is smoke and mirrors, their own fans are saying it. |
There is a very strong chance the Raiders lose to the Jets in NJ next week.

Quote:
Coming off a bye week Team getting healthier and healthier Division opponent Home game Not a Thursday night game Not prime time Chiefs have significant QB advantage That has pretty much always equaled a win for Reid in KC. |
We spanked their asses with no WRs and no Eric Fisher.
Gruden has little man syndrome when it comes to Andy Reid. They have been compared their entire tenure as NFL coaches going back to Green Bay. When is the last time Gruden got the best of Reid? |
we are about to butt**** everyone
as soon as we beat NE our cocks are getting slobbed the challenge will be for reid not to let this team stop grinding after |
So a team we beat handily and is behind us in the standings is Better than us?
Yeah, okay.... |

The Raiders struggled to beat the Bengals on Sunday and they beat the Chargers in the same way the Chiefs did (close game, relying on Phyllis’ turnovers) and now they are suddenly better than the Chiefs?
The Chiefs curb stomped them in week two... that is the indicator for who is better. |
Dude if you don’t know the shtick of these national talking heads by now, I don’t know what to tell you. It’s what they have to do for attention. The Faid have been so mediocre to bad for so long that they’re going to get overrated when they play halfway decent.

Why is Robinson not getting the ball more??

10-0 in 1Q, with like a 2:1 TOP edge. |
My only issue with those rankings, aside from the facts that rankings in pro sports are silly to begin with, is the Raiders being ahead of KC. I can get the Vikings because they have a better overall record but the Chiefs have more wins than the Raiders, are alone in first place in the division they share, and beat the Raiders in a non competitive game head to head.

Lots of talking heads think the Raiders are going to win the division due to our defense.

Also The Athletic did a video piece on him and if you watch it, he's clearly in it for the entertainment aspect of it. It's actually pretty good. |
Cowherd = Kietzman but on a bigger stage.

Despite the win against the Chargers Chiefs do not look like a great team right now and Tyreek is starting to look like he is made of glass. Chiefs should be alright against the Raiders due to bye week but I'm not confident in this team at all. |
No he doesn’t... that guy is one of the most transparent clickbait merchants I’ve ever seen, always doing a complete 180 on what he’d just doubled down on 24 hours prior
I’d rather listen to cats fight before giving him another second of my time |
He also pick the Bolts to win the division. LMAO
|
Raiders have a “positive trend line” based on what?
The fact they barely beat the hapless Bengals last week? The fact they barely beat the Chargers the week before that? Interesting how when the Chiefs beat the Chargers in a similar close manner it is considered an unimpressive victory. And before that the Raiders barely beat the Lions in Oakland (similar to how the Chiefs held the Lions off in Detroit). |
I think the guy is a ****in clown, but saying the Faid is better than us right now is something you could argue. They are ascending some and we're well, definitely in need of a bye week to get shit back together again.

We know what the best team is, and it's not close if they play to their potential. |
ESPN & NFL Network postgame analysts like the faid to win the division. Yet depending on the model, Chiefs have an 85% to 95% chance of winning the division according to those same networks. :doh!:

Quote:
Another way of looking at it is the Raiders are playing at their ceiling while at the same time the Chiefs have been playing at their floor. Again, these things straighten themselves out. |
