Question about Intake Manifold Arm
2013 Chevy Cruze 1.4 Eco.
Check engine light on for intake manifold...the arm, or linkage, keeps coming loose at the bottom even after I pop it back in. Can I use electrical tape to secure it or do I need to replace the whole thing? I'm struggling to find just the arm to replace. If I did, how hard would that be to do? |
Weld, Gorilla Glue, or duct tape these things fix all of life’s problems.

JB Weld

It’s all ball bearings.

He has been absent with life things but Sauto is the man on these things maybe he will chime in if he see this.

Blinker fluid ok?

I think I had intake manifold arm once. Took some penicillin and it cleared right up.
|
can you post a picture?
i've got a 2011 cruze 1.4 turbo complete sitting in my shop and the only arm i'm seeing is on the turbo wastegate but thats on the side towards the firewall... |

did you already try searching on Rock auto?

Visuals help a lot, if you can snap a quick pic. EDIT: If Sauto's here, and you are getting a pic, you're probably on your way. |
I tried to get a pic but it's so far down there that it was hard to get a good look.
I popped it back in on Thursday and right now the Check Engine light is off and the part is still connected. My mechanic gave me some silicone tape to wrap it, but it feels pretty firm for now. Hopefully it holds through my daughter's driving test. But yeah, Sauto...that link you posted is EXACTLY what's going on with mine. Thank you. |
Sauto is the automobile whisperer around here just a wealth of knowledge.
