Does a win on Sunday hurt the Chiefs?
With a Chiefs win of a noon game on Sunday, the Texans will likely pull their starters for their 3:25 game against the Titans. The Titans likely win in this scenario and would play the Chiefs in the first round of the playoffs. The Chiefs never and will never beat the Titans, as Andy usually find the stupidest ways to lose to this abysmal franchise. BUT, if the Chiefs tank and lose to the Chargers... the Bills, Steelers, or Raiders become a more likely Wild Card opponent-- regardless of Texans/Titans outcome.
Pats obviously not losing, so answer the question with that in mind. **** the NFL scheduling this week. All start times should be the same. |
If you're afraid of the Tennessee Titans, then you're not Super Bowl worthy anyways.
|
You are a stupid mother ****ing moron to think the Titans will beat us in our house... We are way healthier than the game we played in Nashville and they had to win the ****ing Powerball to beat us... You should lose your thread starting privileges for this stupidity...
|
Nope. Chiefs lose and Texans win, Texans are the 3. Means we would probably get Baltimore first and the slight chance of hosting the CCG pretty much is reduced to no chance. Plus playing to lose to try to manipulate your next opponent is a loser’s mentality. If the Chiefs are the contenders we think they are, they destroy the Tits next week.

Nah. These guys having fun and peaking going into the playoffs is more critical than trying to dictate matchups.
|
We could lose to any of the teams we will face in the wild card round. But we won't. I'd rather face the Steelers but not by much. I think we are much better prepared for a Derrick Henry now than we were, although we should have never let him do that to us in the first place.
|
No..LMAO. A legit contender shouldn't be afraid of anyone...let alone a scrub team like the Titans
|
I can’t believe anyone is worried about the possibility of playing the Titans.
We would beat them by multiple scores. |
If we can’t beat the Titans at home with this team then just disband the whole ****ing franchise.
It’s a win-win, because if we win the game then we move on in the playoffs. If we lose I’ll finally be able to give up hope on this franchise and spend my falls more productively. But it won’t matter because we’re going to kill them. |
The only, ONLY thing that scares me in the playoffs is Andy Reid.
No team, players other coaching staff, etc. Andy Reid is the biggest threat to us failing than any other possible scenario. |

The Chiefs will beat the mother****ing shit out of the Tennessee Titans or anyone else they have to play in the first round of the playoffs.
Or the second round. Or the third round. |
The Chiefs won't worry who the opponents are. The opponents will worry about who the Chiefs are right now. This team is hulking out.
|
Geez. There are a lot of posters that need to charge some rent to the Titans, they sure are living in your heads.

Why are people hoping to play the Bills over the Titans? I think the Bills are the better team.

But this is the Mahomes era; I don't buy into curses anymore. I want those ****ers. I want to crush them. See them driven before me. And hear the lamentations of the women. :# |
We dominated the titans in every significant stat and only lost because of a botched snap. Being scared of them is just stupid. If we meet them in a he playoffs we’re going to destroy them. Stop being a Deberg.

Mahomes is the one who knocks
|
Road to SB looks like this: Titans, Pats, Ravens... 2-1, should've been 3-0 this year. I ain't scurred AT ALL...
Then, it's my opinion that we will play the Saints. Let's go get IT! |

No offense but that seems like a crazy question
The only thing that hurts a team is losing...well and injuries so that is 2 things |

As far as playing the weaker of the wildcard teams goes, we should blow either of them off the field now that we're healthy and close to full strength. We're the team everyone is afraid to play now, not the other way around. |
Bring on the titans!

I mean if we lose to TEN again, and at home, then what were we really doing this year anyway? I'll be happy with any win but I feel like playing BUF is gonna be a tough, physical, grinding game. I think we actually have a chance to do to TEN what we did to IND last year. |

How is this even a question?
|
The Titans are a really really good team now. Not one of my favorite matchup. But that's just silly for this team to play to lose because of what opponent they face.
|
Reid is 1-9 vs the Titans. Yes I am worried
|
Where's the "I'm a moron for even suggesting this" option?

And whatever happens? You better get that ****ing AFCCG on the road if you hope to win it. |
Jeff Triplet is not walking through that door. We good.

I want to play the Titans and I want to beat the Titans. Won’t be easy, they are a hard matchup for us, but I want us to end that team’s season.
|
Huh?
Even if you’re scared of Tennessee, which you shouldn’t be, there’s no scenario where losing is better than winning. This team is very confident and it needs to stay that way, end of story. |

I'm somewhat worried about bad reffing, freak turn overs and getting beat because of any given Sunday. Mostly just excited for the playoffs to start. Reid isn't perfect but can't say that I'm worried about that. |
A win never hurts especially when others have to win too.
|
Man piss off.
The Chiefs have a VERY good chance of hosting the AFCCG with the 3 seed. Houston can beat Baltimore. |

To be the best, you've got to beat the best. We're going to roll whomever we play so, BRING IT!

Forward motion scares me......doing the worst 5 things you can to lose in the last 2 minutes also scares me.

But what Reid has accomplished in the playoff during his time in KC with 2 of the top 3 biggest collapses in playoff history. I will always be concerned about his cognitive abilities to complete playoff games. I’m super excited about the playoffs and this team but will always be some what reserved when it comes to Reid’s abilit to close out games. |

**** no. We’re gonna beat whoever we play in the first round. I think the team prob hopes it’s Tenn just to get a little redemption. We were down to only 5 OL available by the second quarter (I think). We weren’t healthy at all and we’re still finding our oats on defense. We dominated them except for the scoreboard. I think we roll them in the playoffs. Andy being 1-9 against them is the only thing that is a concern for me. But I think he finally beats the only team he doesn’t have 2 wins or more against. The team is playing well in all 3 phases, and we’re streaking and peaking at the right time.
|
I have been a Kansas City Chiefs fan from when they moved to Kansas City. I very much want them to win a Super Bowl again. I welcome the challenge of beating teams like a Tannehill lead Titans team, a Brady led Patriots team, and a Jackson led Ravens team. No challenge or team will be easy, but this year’s Kansas City Chiefs with all of its parts, can and will win.
Before a game begins, it is like a great book with its storyline yet to be revealed. The heroics of our team and individual players, is why we watch. Let the games begin. |

Same thing against the Titans. I think we rushed the ball 11 times in that game, not counting Smith scrambles. There have only ever been 4 instances where a team lost after having at least an 18 point second half lead in the playoffs, IN THE HISTORY OF THE NFL, and Reid's Chiefs have 2 of those losses. Take that fact, add in the 95 & 97 playoff losses, add the no punt game, and add last year, with the neutral zone infraction and Romo calling out the Patriots offensive plays that we couldn't stop, and it all equals why the Chiefs will never get the benefit of the doubt from me, until we win a Lombardi Trophy. I have been all-in with the Chiefs too many times just to get crushed. I love Mahomes, and can't believe we finally have a real, first round franchise QB, who is the best QB in the league, but even he couldn't overcome "because Chiefs" last year. The Chiefs have always been, and always will be my team, I just watch every playoff game now waiting for the other shoe to drop. Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk |
The ugly losses to IND, TEN, and HOU cost us a first round bye. But they landed us Suggs. Great trade off in my opinion. It worked in our favor; of which never happens.

Think about how good it felt beating the shit out of the Colts last year. It will feel just like that again defeating each of these asshole teams. I want revenge for 2010, 2017 and 2018. |
It's always the same ****ing morons.
If I could get into a time machine I'd go back to last night and shit in your stocking if you think the Chiefs are better off losing any game. Just....just **** you. |

That stadium's #1 sponsor should be Deffenbaugh. Paint the exterior green, with a big ol' gold Deffenbaugh logo on the north, south, east, and west! Then, airdrop about 500,000 tires into said giant green bowl of Satan followed by a gallon of gas for every roster spot since 1972, and top it off with a flaming Mitch Holthus whose dying, airborne screams about hammers and such will ignite the glorious blaze and put an end to this 100000% legitimate curse once and for all. |
The CHIEFS are either good enough or not. It really doesn't matter who or where they play.
