Marone is DONE!
Doug Marrone C, Jacksonville Jaguars Jaguars coach Doug Marrone has been informed that he'll be fired following Week 17's game with the Colts. PFT's Mike Florio and the Jaguars have denied the report. Marrone's three-plus seasons as Jacksonville's coach have been largely unsuccessful, posting a 21-28 record (.429 win percentage) going into Week 17. The Jaguars have been in steep decline since Marrone led them to the 2017 conference championship. Marrone is the definition of replacement-level with a draconian style that clashes with today's NFL. If Marone is ultimately let go, the question becomes whether the Jaguars also fire GM Dave Caldwell. Source: Dianna Russini on Twitter Dec 28, 2019, 12:35 PM ET |

Pencil head has to be done in Detroit right?

But damn... talk about deflating as a head coach. The hours and hours of work you're going to put in for a meaningless game played by a team you won't even be able to coach anymore. |

They had Kyle Shanahan, Sean McVay and Matt LeFleur at one time or another. Did not attempt to cultivate or keep. |
Ron Rivera going to be off the market real soon it sounds like.

I'm sure Jason Garret is going get fired but all Jerry Jones hires is yes men that agrees with him so I never see a coach with a backbone coaching the Cowboys.

Great, means our coaches will be being interviewed during our playoff run. Which usually means more of a distraction to the team than anything. I could see Bieniemy getting some looks. Hope Spags stays.

The NFL has a lot of shitty owners.

Apparently Jerry Jones is very interested in luring Lincoln Riley away. I think it’s a legit possibility.

Arians and the entire Buccaneers staff (including the entire front office) should be terminated after today's game. They have wasted entire drafts on shit players, including the QB and Devin White has a top 5 pick is a bust.
|
I think Jason Garrett will be fired the moment he loses his next game, which could be this weekend or the first playoff game.

Kinda surprised that shurmurs only 54. Still pretty young. He'll probably never be a head coach again. Seems like kc OC would be a dream for him. Imagine closing your career working for a legendary HC who mentored you, in a job that's stable as they come, working with your son in the building. Feel like if Reid wants it, he could easily get it.

Giants is probably the most appealing job.
|
Feel like Shurmur will get another chance at a HC job. Think he kinda got shafted in NY. Never had much of a chance to be successful this year.
