Would a loss to the Titans be the most disappointing in Chiefs history?
I say yes considering how close we are and how good this team is.
|
The bigger the potential thrill with a win=the bigger the potential disappointment with a loss.
Last year, as soon as Rex Burkhead broke the plane of the end zone, I immediately turned the television off and stared at the blank screen in silence for probably half an hour. This year I’m either gonna be jumping for joy and losing my mind after the game or I’m gonna have another date with the blank screen. |
Why even start this thread

ROMPER THIS BULLSHIT NOW

it will be a gut punch and i will log off and find a woman

I’ll probably take a break from CP for a couple of months because this play is a madhouse after losses.
|
I was unaware if you people preferred this type of thread in another room. My bad

Do we still have Mahomes? If so, the answer is no.

This thread sucks
|
Look, I've got Chiefs fan jitters. I really do. I've seen too many on paper matchups in the playoffs end up in losses.
I can't help it. It's an involuntary response to the conditioning I've experienced. But you don't see me going around starting crap threads like this that work against the positive vibe and mojo we have going. That's like attending a friend's wedding and being an absolute sourpuss the whole time because you're recently divorced. I'm keeping those negative thoughts to myself as a courtesy to others. |
Nah. It would suck, but the future is still bright regardless of the outcome.

Y'ALL JUST SHUT YOUR FILTHY WHORE MOUTHS RIGHT NOW AND GET ON THE GODDAMNED BUS.

Last year was the worst. Not only did we not get a ring on our MVP's finger, it ended up on BRADY's!!! :banghead::banghead::banghead:
It doesnt get any worse. |
Anything is possible however I believe the Chiefs will be focused and ready. Henry will get his yards however just play sound football and the Chiefs win this one easily.
After all of the 'because Chiefs' things that have happened over the years, this team is in the best position that any Chiefs team has been. Even the officials called the game fairly last week. Kelce getting mugged was a penalty, limited offensive holding calls, etc. |
THIS KIND OF TALK SHOULD BE BANNED RIGHT NOW.
I DON'T LIKE IT. IT FEELS JINXY. QUIT IT. |
What the **** is wrong with you? Seriously?
|
No offense, but nuke this thread!
|
Don't put that evil on us the Mahomes train is ready to run.

Please mods, lock and remove this post. We don't need this negativity around here right now.

This team is above that kind of noise. The 24 point quarter was the wake up call they needed to stay on point for the next 8 quarters of game action they will be facing. |

Oh, and for those who wonder why I asked, Nick Wright said it would be so I posed it to CP. no ill will intended and we’re all on the same bus. Delete the thread I didn’t mean to piss people off.

The title should be:
Will the overconfident Titan fans drink antifreeze after the Chiefs blow them out? |
I got a buddy who is a 49ers fan. He's been all in on KC all year long. Told me right after the AFC championship game last year not to worry, Chiefs are winning it all this year. He's been on my ass about any bit of negativity with this team.
It took until half time of game 17, but I finally believe nothing is stopping us. Because Chiefs be damned, we're winning this whole thing. |
GTFO
|
I originally thought this was originally posted by a Chiefs fan getting a gauge on the room. Now I know it's a POS Niner fan and I feel duped.

Since Nick Wright has been mentioned already, I’ll throw in a Nick Wright quote:
“If Jinxes were real, flight attendants wouldn’t welcome you to your destination city while the plane was still in the air” People can ask all the hypotheticals they want. The Chiefs are winning this game. |
God I hate posters like this

We aren't losing this game. Are there really weepy vaginas on here that think we are?

|
The loss to the Bills would still be worse. That was a team that was at its zenith and was in its last two years of Montana, and went into decline afterward. This team isn't going anywhere. That loss was the end of our real shot at a title under Marty. This is just the beginning.
|
How ****ing old are you? :spock:
|
Why the **** is this question so offensive? Mojo, because Chiefs, positive/negative sentiment, jinxes, curses, or whatever the hell else there is doesn’t win or lose football games. Nor does merely asking a question like this that is totally legit to ask considering the dubious history of the franchise.
We’ve seen some pretty damn lousy, heartbreaking performances by the Chiefs in the playoffs, and they’ve all been painful to endure, but none of them have anything to do with the 2019 Chiefs. Asking this question isn’t endorsing that the Chiefs will lose, so I’m not sure why it’s being received like that. |

I mean any loss in the playoffs suck, but its also not "easy" to win even when on paper you should dominate.
Personally I do not see how the Chiefs lose unless the make a ton of errors much like the Ravens did |

Another thread that should be flushed

Not to interrupt the pile on, but the answer is clearly "no". Our window is the size of Mahomes career. Don't get me wrong, I have an unhealthy amount of my emotional well being riding on this game, but either way we still have Mahomes.
Losing when it feels like you might not make it back is WAY harder. |
It would because of the fact that we would have hosted the AFCCG in back to back years and came up short both times. It'd be a real kick in the balls for me
|
I mean...of my history with them.....yes. the loss of 93 (92?) In the AFCCG was pretty bad...but that was a free agent QB ...this one feels different and magical...I've never felt so confident...before a game this big. So yes. A loss would be worse than last year, or 92/93..in my eyes.
|
I'm not even gonna honor this thread with a reply...oh wait...shit...

There is no doubt KC is the most mentally-tough team left in the playoffs. The Hill issue, Mahomes injury, D line injuries and down 24-0 to HOU tested KCs resolve and every time you guys pulled yourselves off the mat. Champions do that. Each time y'all have answered the bell. During NEP Dynasty 1 and 2 the Dolts, Squealers, Donkeys and Ravens all went through that process vs us. You guys did last year. Losing to us last year made you tougher. TN, SF and GB have not gone through that process. The Kansas City Chiefs are going to win the Super Bowl. |
The OP is obviously a n00b. Let's see, most disappointing loss. Should I start with SBI or just the last 5 years or so?
No, this is our year. The winds have blown "because Chiefs" to the east. |
Depends if it's a fluke or legit. I'm still big enough to admit being outschemed or outhustled. If Henry runs possessed or Tannehill drops dimes all day, you have to be a man and accept your place in the universe, then just get back to work. But if it's some voodoo out of left field { don't want to even speculate], that will be hard.
|
By far the worst loss thar could ever happen. No way we lose to mariotas titans twice in the playoffs. The first time we lost to mariotas titans I about killed myself. No way he cones into our house and defeats us again!!

Considering how the stars aligned for KC to get to the SB thanks to Miami in reg season and then Tennessee in the playoffs I'd say yes.
