How much money have you dropped on Chiefs Super Bowl stuff?

About $330. So far. I keep seeing ads for more shit that I want. There will be more.

The hat is supposed to be here tomorrow.

When I started this I was counting my pre superbowl spend after winning the conference. I'll have to recalculate and vote. I had to pick up some shit for a few people so it increased my totals but totally worth it

When we first saw the AFC Champs gear commercial the day after that game, the wife and I thought that it would be cool to have those. The more I thought about it, though, I didn't want that because A) if they won the SB then SB Champs gear would be all I need and B) if they lost then I would never want to wear it again. Wife ended up coming home with a couple of shirts without telling me she was going to get them. Oh well, now I'll have both.

Yeah this is how I am. I did get some champ games gear this season just to commemorate my son and I being at the game but the minute my SB stuff arrives, the champ game gear gets retired to the memorabilia collection.

More than I should have. Especially for one item I'll only wear during football season.

I'm a KU fan. We win everything. I get tired of buying winning shirts. I feel it's more of a t-shirt fan thing to do.

I just buy high quality merch and keep it for 3-4 years.

I expect the Chiefs to win multiple Super Bowls eventually, so I'm indifferent in buying Super Bowl gear specifically.

Personally I'm just not really big on season-specific merchandise. I'll wear my Chiefs stuff proudly (and I have endless amounts of everything) but I don't need gear that explicitly points out that they won a Super Bowl. Just my own feeling.

I get that for most seasons. I haven't bought div champ gear in years (or anything else for that matter), but Superbowl gear is a whole different animal. I've been waiting so long and have taken so much shit from other fans over the years, I can't wait to rock that shit and let all the haters know that we're not the laughing stock anymore. I guess it's different for those of you who live in or around KC compared to us who don't..

I'll never understand buying division merch or conference championship merch.

If they lose in the playoffs, then you just have mementos of a playoff loss. If they win, then you'll wish you'd bought the Super Bowl stuff instead.

I am surprised they sell ANY of those "western division champions" shirts (you finished first out of 4... congrats I guess... )but they keep printing that stuff, so someone must be buying it.

So far, zero. Have to pony up for season tickets soon.

Personally, I'm just waiting until I know what the family wants. Really no hurry for me.

I might eventually buy something, but I've kind of ended my football wearing phase of life. I've also discovered that the Chiefs win Super Bowls if I don't wear Chiefs stuff, so I have to keep that in mind.

Maybe its just me, but I just don't really understand commemorative gear. I already have the stuff I want; why do I need to buy something to remind myself of something I won't forget? And if I'm ever at a point in my life where I can't remember the event, I don't think commemorative gear will do much to joggle my memory.

FWIW, I think most commemorative gear (in general, not just Chiefs gear), by and large, looks pretty tacky, so, no, I am not planning on buying anything.
