We need a simple three-question test to ward off bandwagon fans.
 

We know what's going to happen. A bunch of 'patriots fans' and 'broncos fans' and 'packers fans' and 'steelers fans' are going to start buying Chiefs stuff and pretending that they're one of us. We need a way to identify these people quickly. I propose that we develop a standard three-question test that we administer to determine whether we're dealing with an actual Chiefs fan versus a bandwagon fake fan.

The questions need to be questions that a person of any age can answer, so they probably shouldn't be about obscure events of the far past. And they need to be questions that a somewhat casual Chiefs fan could answer even if they're not a hardcore fan like us.

I propose the following. Let me know if you can answer them, and whether you're a legitimate fan or a bandwagon fan. We can adjust the questions if they're too easy or too hard. You can also propose alternatives.

My three proposed questions are:

1. Name at least two Chiefs players who died during their playing career.

2. In the final 2017 preseason game against the Titans, Patrick Mahomes II completed three long passes to this receiver, including an epic rollout that many believe to be his formal unveiling. Who was the receiver?

3. What two teams did Joe Montana's Chiefs defeat in the 1993 playoffs?


I feel that any legitimate Chiefs fan will know the answer to these questions, though I wonder if Q2 is a little too difficult. Thoughts?

My plan is that any time a person comes up to you and starts talking Chiefs, you administer this quiz to determine if they're worthy of your time or not.

It's a bit of an eye trick due to a number change, but yeah, it was Robinson. When Mahomes became the starter in 2018, it ignited calls for Robinson since they appeared to have chemistry.

Interior quality was that of a Pontiac Sunfire. T-Tops leaked every time it rained. Seats felt like you were sitting on the floor. Paint quality was garbage.

Who cares? Winning attracts the casual fans. Happens in every sport. Every home game probably has 20% die hards that can legitimately answer inside questions about the franchise and name the starting roster........the 80% can tell you who Mahomes, Kelce and Hill are and then things will begin to get sketchy lol. It`s the same all over.

Seats feel like you're on the floor which is ****ING AWESOME. It's especially great for leggy women in the passenger seat. The low profile seating forces their legs to be at an angle that just make them delicious. Almost like putting a woman in some heels.

I painted mine Satin Black on the base, and then Gloss Black across the Hood, Deck lid and Sail Panel. So i've got that two-tone black thing going on. I've got the Wings west front air damn and Mecham Ram Air hood with 4-port heat extractors. I replace the factory Monsoon sound system with a new Sony Double Din head unit, replaced all the tweeters and Mid-Range speakers, installed a 1000W Monoblock Amp and installed two 6.5" Subs in the Sails (Massive Audio). Been doing a bunch of minor, small mods until im ready to resurface the heads.

I love my car. I haven't driven it in awhile though because i need to do the heads on it.

I know dude before was complaining about the seats being so low, but i love it. I think that car is one of the most unique driving experiences ive ever had.

The low seats, the steep rake on the windshield, the huge dash...it pretty much forces you into a "lean back and look cool" kind of seating position. It's so ****ing hard to see out of compared to basic daily drivers, the front is long so you have to pay special attention to curbs, pot holes, dips etc. And it's difficult for people to get in and out of. The backseats might as well not even exist.

AND I LOVE IT!

The fact that it is SOOO impractical is what makes it great.

Mine was just poorly maintained. I was like 18 when I bought it though. 320hp, 5.7 V8. Felt like a rocket ship to me. That's the only thing I really cared about back then. :)

I like Question 1 because it's possible for anyone to answer it. If you're young, you go with DT and Belcher. A little older and you can go with DT and Delaney. Or if you're a senior fan you can go with Stone Johnson and Mack Lee Hill. Any legit Chiefs fan should be able to answer that question, while bandwagon fans will have no idea.

I love the bandwagon I am seeing. I've heard from a bunch of people out here with no KC connections that their kids are asking for Mahomes shirts and stuff. These are brand new football fans, 6-10 years old or so, who are looking around and becoming Mahomes fans first. It's pretty cute. For the couple of them at work that I know pretty well, I've offered them my tickets at face value and accommodations at my condo in KC for anyone with kids that get serious enough about the Chiefs to make a journey to Arrowhead. Mahomes is bigger than KC.

Then travelled to the Houston Astrodome, where we absolutely got our shit pushed in 30-0 earlier in the season, to take on Buddy Ryan and his Houston Oilers. Shamed Buddy Ryan in his own house, i still remember the shot of him storming off down the tunnel.

Took on Buffalo in the AFCCG, where disaster repeatedly struck. A tip ball off kimble anders was intercepted in the EZ before half, and then on the opening drive of second half, with 13:23 left in the third, Joe Montana is hit hard by Bruce Smith, and i believe Bryce Paup or Daryl Talley.

Joes head bounced off the Astroturf, (essentially carpeted concrete) he put his hands to his head and no longer knew who or where he was.

Dave "smallest hands in the world, and world record holder for qb fumbles" Kreig entered the game and that was that. 30-13 loss.

This would be the first loss of a brutal 22 year stretch of no playoff wins.
