career suicide had he chose differently :thumb:

called it ages ago :D

Smart move. When you're paired up with the best quarterback on the planet, you keep that job.

Remember that last CHIEFS OC? It worked out pretty good for Doug Pederson

ChiliConCarnage 02-21-2020 03:15 AM

I didn't think it was real likely he'd take it but good to know for sure.

Discuss Thrower 02-21-2020 03:19 AM

Gunning for a pro job; now that's "BDE"

Nagy was after Pedersen.

That is far less successful.

Nickhead 02-21-2020 03:54 AM

Technically...

Still counts as a staff turnover.

Danguardace 02-21-2020 05:20 AM

CFB is so much more elitist with the CFB Play-off now, what is the best he could have done at CU? Maybe a Rose Bowl.

Only time I would go to college is if I was at the end of my career and just wanted the satisfaction of influencing and helping young athletes/people.

Smart move. He deserves a HC opp in the bigs and hopefully gets it next year.

Shiver Me Timbers 02-22-2020 07:08 PM

Karl Dorrell is the new Buff (it out) HC

BoxWine_Stouffers_TubeSock 02-22-2020 08:32 PM

It's crazy that we get to maintain our entire SB winning coaching staff for next season. Feel blessed. We goin on another run.

He'll probably accept the first NFL job offer he receives, but there aren't many places likely looking for a head coach next year that don't have trash ownership or stupid organizational drama to overcome.

If Minnesota sucks all the way they might be getting sick of Zimmer. That'd be a really nice place for Bieniemy to land. Atlanta could be tolerable, I guess.

I'd say Cincinnati could be a sneaky good landing spot, but Mike Brown is a bottom 10 franchise owner in all of sports.

Trash teams and trash/absent owners in NYJ, Jacksonville, Denver, Detroit. Houston is a bowl of shit that I'd stay far away from.

I'd hate to see him go to the Chargers, but if that job opens up, he'd really be successful, I think.

Chargers sound good until you consider that he'll never win his division.

smithandrew051 09-22-2020 01:16 PM

I’d like to see him go somewhere without a QB. Let him pick his guy.

Nagy was hired into a rough spot with Trubisky.

You know, I don't think that's the case.

He's had plenty of interest. If he REALLY wanted a HC job, he'd have one already IMO.

If he plays his cards right, Reid might retire in 5-6 years and he'd be the hand-picked successor to coach the 2nd half of Mahomes' HoF career.

I think the problem is if EB sticks around that long, then you lose guys like Kafka to an OC job somewhere else. The assembly line needs to keep moving.

Then I think the media hasn't done their jobs. They should have been reporting that he's received offers from teams just like how UC made him an offer and he turned them down.
