Jackson was driving on a road a few miles south of Montgomery, Alabama, at around 8:50 p.m. Sunday when his 2012 Chevrolet Camaro left the road, hit a tree and flipped, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency trooper Michael Carswell. Jackson was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.

He was a guy who almost grasped the brass ring in the NFL. It seemed like he was so close to establishing himself, but couldn't quite make it. He had a nine-year career, though, so I guess he did okay for himself.

Too bad. He was still young.

9 years making six-figure salary (probably more at times), Super Bowl champion and didn't have to take too much punishment in the process. He didn't quite have as a great of a go as Chase Daniel but not too shabby when all's said and done..

TMZ reporting he was flying 70mph in a 30 zone.

His death was no tragedy. It was stupidity.

Thankfully, he didn’t hurt anyone else.
