Actor Brian Dennehy dead
RIP.
Haven’t seen him in anything lately, but he was fairly prolific back in the 80s First Blood, Silverado, and many many others..... https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.tmz...-81-tommy-boy/ |
oops
|
He was great in Cocoon and Presumed Innocent. He was short lived in Tommy Boy so that was not much of a role for screen time.
Wonder what's going to happen now to Callahan's? RIP Brian Dennehy |
Great actor. RIP
|
Damn.
Great actor. |
He was fun to watch.. Real asshole in First Blood...LMAO.. he will be missed
|
Yeah, well...
Piss on him. Lying **** claimed for years he was wounded in combat in Vietnam; only when he was stone cold busted did he admit to making it up. Never stepped foot in country much less be in the vicinity of a red hot zinger headed in his direction. We all die. |
Footballer and rugby player, yep, can see that.
Remember that move where he was the town bully (based on a true story). My fav role for him. Great actor. R.I.P Here it is.... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/0S0lJqT1ebo" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Played a great bad guy in Silverado.
Sorry to see him go. RIP |
RIP Brian.
|
Nobody gets out of this alive. R.I.P. He played a lot of tough guy roles.
|
I loved the guy in "Silverado" I always thought he fit that role perfectly. RIP
|
Good actor.

I never heard that also. I have a hard time with stolen valor being a Viet Nam combat retiree myself. If that is true, my opinion of him would drop about 10 points.....sad. |
He could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves.

Great actor, Silverado and First Blood were my faves. RIP
|
He was a great actor. I'm just going to pretend like I never heard about the stolen valor crap, since I never heard about it before today. I'm sure he paid a price for it.
He was awesome in Silverado and Rambo, and pretty much everything else I saw him in. And I concur about Presumed Innocent; that movie was amazing. Absolutely didn't see that twist coming. At all. Although I thought the late great Raul Julia blew everybody else away. He should have won an Oscar for his portrayal of Sandy Stern. Probably wasn't even nominated. Dennehy was also the father of Elizabeth Dennehy, who played Commander Shelby in Star Trek. RIP :( |
I thought Skidmore took care of him years ago.
|
Did someone say my name?
Who are you? I'm Brian Dennehey. What? No, not ****ing Brian Dennehey. Get the **** out of here. Oh. Bye. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/sNJmfuEWR8w?start=69" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted- media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Yeah the stolen valor is new to me as well, it definitely takes a lot of shine off this guy for me
But I did love Rambo and Tommy Boy, sooo RIP Brian |
A good movie that's often overlooked with him and James Woods is "Best Seller" where woods is a hit man and he's a retired cop turned author...and Woods wants him to write a book about his experiences. There's a great scene where woods kills a guy in a photo booth.
|
Great great actor.
|
Well crap, RIP.
|
RIP I think he was in "Cacoon"
|
Loved him in F/X along with the other movies named.
