I’ve gotten that email several times but I knew it was a scam because I only use Ubeja Vontell’s email address to register for porn sites and never my real one.

I mean I've messed with the phone scammers a couple times for fun. Basically you act interested and play dumb and ask dumb questions giving them the run around job. Then after a few minutes change your mind or wait for the scammer to realize you were just wasting his time.

I sent some pretty disturbing things.

My time has less value, but I enjoyed it.

When they call I ask them if they can hold on a second while I get something out of the oven. Then I just put the phone down. Once I picked up the phone after 10 minutes and they were still on the line. Wasting their time is the best revenge. They are probably beaten by their Pakistani overlords for low productivity. Every now and then I will just hand the phone to my daughter and have her scream as loud as she can into the phone. Cheap entertainment.

CP was hacked about 16-18 months ago and everyone's user name and password were compromised.

I get an extortion email with my exact user name and old password about once every 2 months.

That's what it's all about- delete them.

When I'm bored, I occasionally mess with them. One of my favorite things to do is to turn the tables on them and pretend I'm a solicitor to buy new jet for Pastor Billy Joe Goody. I'll ask them for their credit card information for a recurring monthly donation. Sometimes I'll even call them back and say that we must have been cut off. I've learned some colorful new words and phrases.

A list should be made of all CP’s phone #’s and promptly delivered to them. Some CPers might be to busy to call and this would be time saving.

It’s not just CP. I have an elderly coworker who has been getting those emails and asked me about them. I told her to disregard them.
