Hot yoga

Been trying to get healthier, I quit the dairy and refined sugar, cut back on gluten and bread, been going on long walks with the Bird Dog.

Back to doing hot yoga since they reopened.

Anyone else ever done the hot yoga? It'll make you sweat.

I've always heard great things about Yoga and have considered it myself. Glad you are doing it.

Give it a shot!

It's an awesome work out when you wouldn't think so. Yoga is incredible with how it can heal the body if done consistently.

I'd like to post a video but don't have the rights yet with this new account. If you google - Never, Ever Give Up. Arthur's Inspirational Transformation! - It's a really inspiring video. The guy goes from not being able to walk to running in a sprint all from yoga. I think he did some type of DDP program.

You'll be to busy sweating your ass off to fight away a concrete boner from watching the girls.

Better use waterproof duct tape.

Yoga can help you sustain longer. And increase frequency and volume of your excretions.

Took a class at Power Life in Leawood. It was WAY more of a workout than I was expecting. And she took it easy on us with the heat since we were all first timers. I think it was only like 85-ish.

There's only so much of this CP member my wife can take. Lasting longer might damn well kill her.

What's another 30 seconds added to a minute gonna hurt?

Jenson71 05-14-2020 05:25 PM

I did hot yoga once in Iowa City about 6 years ago. I was in decent shape and signed up for a session. There were about two dozen people at the session, almost all were middle aged, and I vividly remember one older couple I would guess in their upper 60s who were nearly naked.

About 15 minutes into it, my vision started getting fuzzy, and I had to lay down. I was staring up at the ceiling when the instructor came over to me and asked if I was okay. "Yes, but can I just go out of the room for a minute?" She told me no, I couldn't, because the temperature change would 'shock my system.'

So I laid or sat there for another 30 minutes or so, surrounded by people decades older than me contorting their thin, nearly naked bodies with ease. Every one in a while I would attempt something pathetic like a butterfly stretch. That was my first and last time at hot yoga or any other type of yoga.

I did Bikram Yoga for years until a couple of the businesses closed down. It’s a 90 minute class where it’s 105 degrees with about 60% humidity in the room. It’s tough at first, but really great for you.

Megatron96 05-14-2020 06:30 PM

"Rabblerouser" and "hot yoga" are not words that Iwould expect to find in the same sentence.

That said, I hope it's working for you.

I enjoy Bikram yoga. I used to encourage friends to try it and mention all the hot chics that would be there. That would usually persuade them but in reality after 5 mins in class you can’t even look at booty because you’re concentrating on just staying alive. I would chuckle inside as they looked like they were dying during class.

One of the best workouts if you’re not a puss.

The class healed my brothers back issue he’d been having or over a year. Docs just wanted to give him drugs and he was tired of that. A few Bikram classes and his back pain went away.

It will. But give it appropriate time. Get yourself centered first. This is very important.

I do hot yoga with my wife at our gym called Hotworx. 125 in that bitch, and you feel amazing once the 40 minute session is done.

I've yet to finish without thinking I was going to die about 3/4 of the way through. LMAO

Lol unless you're single, there's no point in hot yoga

That guy is a dick. Luckily most of the instructors have been hot chicks and not crazy people like him. It’s basically it’s just doing a bunch of different stretches and sweating your ass off. You do get used to it and it’s definitely helpful once you get used to dealing with the heat.

ijack 04-03-2022 07:24 AM

I exclusively do Yin Yoga. It’s perfect for me since it uses postures held for longer (2-4 minutes), allowing gravity to pull the muscles/joints instead of fighting gravity in the other Yoga forms.

Hate heat. Hate humidity. This just sounds like pure torture. I think I'd last long enough to walk in the room and then walk out again.
