I was about to say something very similar. What else would potential spectators have to do? Promise not to stay at a hotel? Not eat any concession food? Self quarantine for 14 days after?

These aren't really valid responses. They don't want your nasty asses in the stadium for the protection of the players and staff. It has very little with wanting to protect you individually.

The fastest way to get live sports shut down again is for some moron to come in and get a team's staff sick.

Unfortunately, I can see it happening one way or another, even if they took additional steps.

There's no way to stop players and staff from coming in contact with strangers on a day-to-day basis. Will every single person from medical staff on hand to camera men be required to sign a contract that they won't go to the grocery store between games? Because our nasty asses are at Kroger's touching and breathing on everything.

That's what the Germans are trying.
