I think I was the only person outside of Utah who was rooting for Sloan and the Jazz in that 98 series against the Bulls.

I was as well, loved Karl Malone and the Pasty Gangsta. Plus I was sick of the Bulls and constant Jordan cock gobbling and the games in SLC had way better atmosphere.

I did, and still think, Jordan pushed Russell away to take the shot.

I've said this a few times but I would not be a fan of Jordan if he was playing in today's age. All the attention he got was mild compared to the attention lebron gets. It's unbearable.

While I agree with your statement, my heart says he was pushed. In my eyes, Jordan is the goat (its not even close) but I still think he's equally as hard to root for. With that said, Russell was pushed, forever and always.

You definitely weren't. I didn't like Jordan or the Bulls. I respect their greatness of course. But I'm the only Orlando fan this side of the Mississippi.

Hated him when he was on the Bulls.

They had a little rivalry with the Kings back in the day. Sloan, Bob Love & Norm Van Lier... hated all of them.

I was glad to see the players talk about how sucky the SLC fans are. Most NBA players hate that city.

I've been a chiefs fan for over 25 years and a Utah Jazz fan for about as long. I suffered through brutal losses with the Jazz. Thank gosh the Chiefs finally got over the hump. Too bad Sloan and the Jazz never did. Jerry got the very most out of every team he coached. If it wasn't for #23 he would of had a couple much deserved championships. RIP

The amount of success and longevity he had in Utah has always been impressive.

He was a pretty damn good player too. Feisty and wore those 70's banana hammock NBA shorts. ROFL
