Browns asking for help calling plays in 2020 preseason game

Just when you thought the Browns couldn't be more stupid . . .

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...reseason-game/

Pitt Gorilla 05-22-2020 01:06 PM

Meh, i appreciate the sentiment.

Rain Man 05-22-2020 01:09 PM

Well, it's not like a random stranger off the street could do worse than their past 20 years.

Megatron96 05-22-2020 01:10 PM

Okay, maybe 'stupid' is too strong. However, it smacks of an ill-conceived publicity stunt. When are the Browns going to take football seriously? Looks like not this year.

Rain Man 05-22-2020 01:19 PM

I'd pay to script the first 20 plays for the Chiefs or the Broncos. I would have different types of fun with each.

Hog's Gone Fishin 05-22-2020 01:27 PM

Well, if you read the article it's for a preseason game and raising charity . OP is not accurate.

Good catch. Missed that bit. Let's see if I can change the title.

You mean you didn't read the article you posted about. ROFL

You should be out fishing anyway! I caught my limit Walleye this morning and already have them cleaned and on my 3rd beer.

wazu 05-22-2020 01:31 PM

That sounds like it would be an amazing experience. Would absolutely do this if I was super-rich.

I skimmed through it; saw the headline on ESPN, which was basically exactly what I used for the title. My bad.

Already been fishing today. Caught some slab bluegills and nearly landed a monster carp. Over 20 lbs.

Wish we had some good walleye fishing here. Best eating freshwater fish, IMO.

Kman34 05-22-2020 01:41 PM

Now if they asked for help drafting players too, they may be on to something...

Oh ,you don't have to be rich to go fishin. Lots of people use cane poles and worms.

I would not...because I would SUCK at playcalling. I like to just bitch about it after the fact, like a good fan.:p

chinaski 05-22-2020 04:00 PM

I'd do a running play on the first 3 downs, and a Hail Mary on the 4th every time. No punts.

I'm asking for 500k per year, plus a condo next to Kareem so I can shoot video of him ****ing up...I can sell that to TMZ for extra income.

HIRE ME

Who wants to pay to be responsible for a baker mayfield interception?

Oh, right ****ing here *raises hand*

DaneMcCloud 05-22-2020 06:09 PM

Nothing would be better than Todd Haley winning the auction

Pasta Little Brioni 05-22-2020 06:37 PM

"Help". I'm sure they won't be planning shit

TwistedChief 05-22-2020 07:23 PM

Weird that in one thread you dream of winning the Mahomes All-In experience while in another you mock the Browns for trying to offer something of real value. The common denominator: charity. The Chiefs offered to let the winner lead ‘The Chop’ and the Browns offered a chance to call plays in a preseason game. Good for both for getting creative for a very worthy cause.

I would run QB draws....20 times in a row.

I still can't believe they fired Dorsey after 2 seasons. But then again he did draft Mayfield #1.

OrtonsPiercedTaint 05-23-2020 06:21 AM

As the scones are pulled out of the oven. Tom Walsh allows himself to dream

Dorsey brought the talent ,he just didn't have the HC in place. Firing him was just another of the awesome decisions the Browns have made for 30 years.

Dorsey chose to keep 0-16 Hue Jackson and then hired Freddie Kitchens.

He's a butt ****ing moron.
