I can check my FICO score for FREE via my Wells Fargo account anytime I want and my credit score for free via Credit Karma.

No sense to pay anymore. Many banks and brokerages have deals to access for free.

Credit Karma uses VantageScore 3.0. A credit score wanta be. Used by CK and most credit card companies to let their users have a vague idea where they stamd.

If you going for a house, car, boat, building, you need FICO scores.

digger 06-27-2020 12:35 PM

I get free FICO from both my bank and credit card, I additionaly check Credit Karma weekly. Experian can kiss my ass, they can't even keep the data they have safe from hackers, so **** them...

BWillie 06-27-2020 12:45 PM

I'm white. Having good credit is virtually the only thing I'm good at. I'm like 850 or some shit. I could ask for a half a milsky loan to buy crack, they'd probably give it to me.

OrtonsPiercedTaint 06-27-2020 01:02 PM

The SWOT score is important. Squirrels With Out Tail, they have lost balance.

Seems like a really good deal to me. I have one of those America Online CD's and I get internet for $49.99 a month. I don't even have to buy a newspaper anymore. Just log on, go make mow the lawn, come back and voila.

Yeah, my Discover card provides my FICO score with every bill. Supposedly about 1/2 CC companies do the same. Credit Karma is free. Why pay? What else do you get?

I've had it forever. People from decades ago can reach out. I was in early. Yahoo use to give you a member# as you joined. I was in the low 20K's. Now its 20 billion or something like that.

I’ll do it for free as long as you don’t mind me using my tongue instead of a Q-Tip

You made me go look:

Citi gives you TU FICO
Discover gives you EX FICO
Capital One gives you Creditscore (worthless)
Credit Karma gives you creditscore
Nerd Wallet gives you creditscore

The experian subscription shows all three scores. all three reports, everything in one place.

Plus reminds me of all the high mileage reward travel cards as they become available.

I choose to spend $25/month for the convenience of seeing everything in one place.

I did the PSA to show the FREE service; not asking anyone to spend anything more.

KurtCobain 06-27-2020 04:11 PM

Why don't you check out this dick?

Pablo 06-27-2020 04:17 PM

Send me $25/month and I'll get an email sent out that states you've got 'Big Dick Credit'. Show your wife and friends. I'll do a year for $200 up front.

Meh, I get it now. I'm not into smoking so that's not something I expect in a thread about credit scores.

Credit Karma has not a ****in CLUE what your credit score is. Its the single biggest eye roll in my business. So much that when a customer tells us a credit score we have to ask where they saw it, if it was Credit Karma, it literally has ZERO meaning, its so often so badly wrong. I see it EVERY DAY they can be off by 150 points or more, and its almost always higher than it actually is.

Your credit cards DO know your score, and the scores are provided by the credit companies.

Holy shit what the **** do you have to do for that to happen? Did you ever get a car repo'd or a house foreclosed upon or something?

Odd. I'm kind of obsessive about monitoring mine, and CK has never been off by more than 10 or so from what my credit cards say.

I find CK to be useful for monitoring changes to your general score (since they all use the same data) though I know that they all have slightly different approaches in their calculations. I find that most credit cards just give you the score without a lot of ability to understand what's driving it.

CK does provide Experian's score alongside the Vantagescore FWIW.
