Cam Newton to the Patriots

I don't like this.
|
Knew it.
|
of course they do.. ugh
|
He blows
|
Desperation
|
Did the Patriots acquire Patrick Mahomes?
No? The Chiefs still own the AFC. |
If he wins the starting job, he’ll get injured almost immediately.
Broke dick. |
I’m shocked!
|
Cam 5 years ago I still wouldn't be worried
|
lololol this will get interesting

consider, all this race riot crap and Pats actually get a high profile black QB in the most racist northern town in america... interesting |
Pats have dick for talent at WR.
This won't work out well. |
Distraction for their punishment
|
Sure his ego and BB will get along well
|
Bill brought in a bull to plug his wife while he studies game tape.
|
It’s nice to see the Patriots signing broke dick retreads while we have the king of the NFL at QB for the next 15 years.
This doesn’t bother me at all. In fact, it shows they have no faith in Stidham and are desperate. Bill can and will get the best out of Cam, but that’s still not enough to beat us. |
Desperation move.
Bill knows that Stidham sucks so he had to make this move for an over the hill brokedick. Gonna be a rude awakening for Cheatriots fans when they go 6-10 this year. |

Yawn.
|
Overrated, over the hill, and on a team that’s in rebuilding mode. Doesn’t scare me in the least.
For him to only sign a one year, there must have not been a lot of interest. No player’s name has ever so greatly exceeded their ability or record of accomplishment |
He's black. PR move. Cam is lazy and all about Cam.
|
Time to buy stock in goofy hat stores located in Bawston.

Good, another team for Mahomes to crush the hopes of.
|
Happy for Cam but AFC still runs through ur. All this signing means is that they'll now likely make the playoff... And then we'll smack them around.

As for my reaction, I hope he's as bad as he's been for them AND they have to use him. |
Belichick will get twice the production from Cam as Carolina was getting.
They still have a good D and a great coach. They’ll be the AFC East champs. |
I'm willing to bet that belichick goes with stidham over cam. That seems like a smarter than everyone else move that he would make.
|
Does this mean Cam will finally be able to draw roughing the QB penalties?
:hmmm: |
They still have absolute dogshit at WR and Cam hasn’t played good football in years.
I’m not even giving them the division just yet. The Bills are a better football team. The question is, will they actually show it. |
Newton's shoulder is toast. I watched some of his MVP season on game pass. His velocity, release point etc. Is all very different than it is today. He's lost a ton in that arm.
|
Married into a family of Auburn fans. This is my worst nightmare.
|
Yeah, the Patriots made a shrewd pickup there.
He was mostly healthy in 2018 and had a nice season. If the Patriots get 14 or more games from him they win the AFC East and may be the third-best team in the conference. If he’s healthy and the Patriots are able to revitalize him a bit, they may challenge the Ravens for first runner-up to our Chiefs. |

The fact that any team - let alone a belichek-coached team - would sign this guy after watching him not go after a fumble in the most important game of his life........staggering.
That ONE moment is all you need to know about Cam Newton. |

**** THE PATRIOTS

The Patriots are going to play like Baltimore this year. Run the ball and play defense. Belicheck doesn't care if Cam Newton gets run into the ground during his short time in New England.

Fantastic signing by the Pats. No risk whatsoever for them. Seems like a good fit to me actually. Cam hasn't exactly had great WR play most years. At this point he's an underrated QB. Not worried about them overtaking the Chiefs but NE should improve bat QB in 2020 to 2021. Brady was6 garb last yr. |
Im interested in seeing how they adapt the offense to his capabilities as well as what sort of chemistry he builds with N'Keal Harry.
|
If Newton is willing, RPO game could be a factor with either Harry or Edelman as the primary run target.
|
Picking up other teams failed QBs almost never works. He didn't get dumped because they thought he wasnstill good or a leader.
|
I think Cam can do well in NE if the shoulder isn't totally ****ed. Pretty big 'if' though.
Would absolutely have to change the Offense though. I think they could do a lot of unique looks though to breathe some fresh air into an Offense with some big questions marks at certain spots. |

CHIEFS by 20!!

Pats have nothing on offense to worry anyone. Cam is going to stink. Edleman is a midget and old. Their RBs are ordinary. Brady is an accurate QB. Cam is not wich equals fail.

Brady is done. If I was a TB fan, Id be happy Brady brought Gronk. But QB remains Tampas weakness. |
A desperate move by a coach trying to prove he can win without Brady...

So what?
New England is now a middle-of-the-road team instead of in the running for a top 5 draft pick. Chiefs will still bulldoze these turds. |

Patriots fined $1.1M, docked 2021 NFL Draft pick in latest cheating scandal Members of the Patriots' TV team were seen recording from the Cincinnati Bengals' press box Daniel Canova14 mins ago Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw on possibility of playing NFL games without fans in attendanceVideo The NFL hit the New England Patriots with new penalties Sunday after members of their TV team were spotted recording from the Cincinnati Bengals’ press box during a game against the Cleveland Browns last season. The Patriots were fined $1.1 million and will forfeit their third-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft as penalties. The league also barred the TV crew from shooting any games during the upcoming season. CAM NEWTON SIGNS 1-YEAR DEAL WITH NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS, REPORTS SAY Of course, this wasn’t the first time the NFL has come down on the Patriots in recent years. Earlier, there was “Spygate”, when the Patriots recorded defensive coaches’ signals from an unauthorized stadium location. It triggered a $500,000 fine for head coach Bill Belichick, a $250,000 fine for the organization and the loss of its first-round draft pick in 2008. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM This time around, the Patriots confessed and complied with this latest investigation after they were caught in the act by the Bengals’ security. The Patriots’ explanation was that a video crew hired by the organization mistakenly “inappropriately filmed the field from the press box” for a “Do Your Job” video series on an advance scout to publish on the team website. Separately, the league fined the Patriots $1 million and took away a 2016 first-round draft pick over Deflategate, which also resulted in a four-game suspension for quarterback Tom Brady. |
Which scarf goes with a deflated football
|
Belichek won 11 games with Cassel. The offensive talent is nowhere as close but McDaniel is a good OC and that defense was one of the best last year.
I think they win the AFC West mainly because I'm not sold on Josh Allen but to pretend they are as good as us, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and MAYBE Indianapolis? Is fantasy. |

I think its a great signing for New England, and if their defense is anywhere close to last year, then they are a contending team. I think it's reasonable to assume it's still KC's conference with Bal being a punchers chance at going to the superbowl
|
I'd be surprised if Cam Newton even gets the Patriots to the AFC Championship game to face us or the Ravens, healthy at least. We'll see how good Josh McDaniels is when he doesn't have Tom Brady to make him look good, he might be a notch above Weis, Crennel, and O'Brien but he's still a Patriot cast off who used Bellichick and Brady to make him look better than he is.

I guess all that Stidham talk was bullshit.

Nagy gave up a 4th and 20 million for Foles. LMAO

I don't love this move. I still would've preferred Dalton; he would've been a little cheaper, his production's about the same, he's healthier, and he's not a distraction. BUT... Cam does have way more upside, IF he's healthy. With no QBs except Stidham and Hoyer, they probably go 8-8 at best and miss the playoffs; with a healthy Cam, they challenge in the now-competitive AFC East. Good enough to get the #2 seed and a bye and a home game? Probably not. It's going to be Chiefs #1, Ravens #2. #3 and #4 will be the AFC East winner and AFC South winner in some order.
|
I like to see what pimp outfit he's going to wear after the game.
Looking forward to it. |

Honestly they would have been better off signing Winston when they had the chance. Younger and more upside. I think Newton has suffered one too many hits to the head. Not sure he is a game changer anymore. The positive though is he will be better than Stidham meaning the Pats won’t be able to tank for Trevor.

Good backup.
