Anyone have the ability to find out who a phone number belongs to?
 

I've been getting some very odd messages from a number I don't recognize today. They seemingly have a lot of my personal information. Anyone have the ability to find out who this person is?

I tried running a search on beenverified and it came up with nothing. Tried another paid site and it says it's a landline, Onvoy is the carrier type, and it's from Hardin Missouri. This is weird

I use the app online reverse lookup. Works at least 75% of the time.

I called that once and got some chick named Jenny. I found her name and number on the wall. Turned out Jenny was a tease!

Its a VOIP number stored on a gotextme server in Warrensburg Missouri. Whoever it is, they are up to something lets call it "unsavory". They are trying to hide whatever they are doing but hiding very poorly so they are not the sharpest tool in the shed.


Just block the number on your phone and the GF's phone.

Just block it and move on. Likely a scammer for sure.

But seriously, how much of your information do they have. Are you talking the city you live in or your actual address.

My name, girlfriends name, family members name, place of business.

You'd have to file a police report with the hosting service to figure that out, I'd imagine. Doubt they'd be stupid enough to do this without using at least a basic VPN.

I'm not going to publicly or privately tell you. My advise is to just block the number and move on. Another number pops up with the same behaviour, now you may have a legit concern about a stalker.


It's way more probable its just a bot of a gang trying to fish up something than anything to be concerned about.

Yes, possibly harassment. But I'm not sure. More so my girlfriend for harassment at this point.

I have a VOIP line in my house because cell service can be really sketchy in my canyon but unfortunately, Spectrum only allows 30 blocked phone numbers, so I was receiving up to 40 spam calls per day.

Last summer, I signed up for Nomorobo and since then, I may get one spam call per day.

This person knows you (duh) and has a beef or it could even just be a loner friend ****ing with you.. Start reflecting on when this started and what happened in that time period.
