I don't worry that Butker will miss, but i do sometimes get the heebee jeebees that the line will wave someone through to block one.

But 3 in a row like that from 50+ with the game on the line is next level badass.

I’m not sure where it goes down in the all time annals of kicking, as I am not that familiar with kicking performances as a whole, but that HAS to be one the great individual displays of kicking EVER in an NFL game!

What I love about that 58 yard kick is that it would have been good from at least 65.

I was surrounded by Chargers fans when he kicked those 3 (4?) kicks. When he finally ended the game with that 58 yarder, they all turned to me and clapped me on the back or gave me a first bump and said, "you have one hell of a kicker right there."

Seriously, I thought I was going to get punched in the face. I actually braced myself for it. I wasn't going to be upset by it, because I wanted us to win the game so bad, so I figured taking a pop to the head was just the price that had to be paid. But those guys were pretty cool.

I just realized that as I was growing up, the Pete Stoyanivich for President game was by far the greatest regular season win in Chiefs history.

Today, Butker hit three kicks longer than the Pete’s in 97, and one more just a yard shorter.

And Pete's cleared the crossbar by a **** hair.

Butker could have hit it from 65.

Not to take anything away from Mahomes, but I don’t remember him ever kicking a walkoff 58 yard field goal.

He basically made three straight kicks from 53, 58, and then 58 again all in the span of about about a minute... and all were under the pressure of trying to win the game (kicking the first two before realizing there was a penalty and then before the Chargers called a time out).
