Welcome back Breezy!!
|
Nice to add an additional starting caliber CB at this point in the season.
We won’t need him against the Raiders this weekend, but he should come in real handy against the Bills next Thursday. |
Good deal.

Suddenly our secondary is full of riches

Getting Breeland back is going to be nice. For the first time in I don't know how long we have more good corners available than bad/injured ones.
|
Kemp got hurt and lost his role to Byron Pringle, simple as that. Also the fact that this team is keeping Ricky Seals-Jones around even though he's yet to be active makes me wonder if they're saving packages for him till later on in the year.

Your theory has some merit, but I'm not totally sold either... shouldn't they be wanting to see him in real action by now? It's not like he's some proven commodity able to just jump in and flip the switch |

I thought Kemp looked pretty limited on special teams, especially as a gunner on punts. He had that chemistry with Patrick a few preseasons ago and I think we were all hoping it would develop, but nah.

He scored a 27 on the Wonderlic, so I wouldn't think that he's having trouble with Andy's WCO concepts but his absence is certainly strange, nonetheless. |
Not a big deal, but I am a little surprised because Marcus Kemp has been playing STs.
That puts us down to 5 WRs and we seem to like to have 6 usually on the 53. We have 6 DEs on the roster with Demone Harris inactive for every game. We have 4 TEs with Ricky Seals-Jones inactive for every game. I think the management of the Practice Squad shapes what we did here. If we get a WR needing to sit out because of injury, we just bounce a WR up from the PS for that game. We have Gehrig Dieter, Maurice Ffrench, Jody Fortson, and Chad Williams all on the PS. |

8 scores in 8 starts for other teams Deafening silence since he's arrived We'll be fine with or without him, but damned if it isn't worth asking about |
It all comes down to blocking and special teams with RSJ. He’s always been subpar as an in-line blocker, and doesn’t play ST’s.
Saying that, I’ve been completely underwhelmed with Keizer. He hasn’t blocked well, and looks lost in his route running. That tipped pass that wasn’t even to him, drove me crazy on Monday night. |

I wonder how long it will be before he is starting?
Fenton & Ward have been doing a great job. |

RSJ doesn't compliment Kelce, he plays the same role. Washington doesn't compliment CEH, he plays the same role. |

Fenton Breeland Mathieu Thornhill This secondary is suddenly a huge strength. |

But when we're four games in and this guy hasn't played a snap, I can only surmise that he's either a complete dummy or there's some other kind of injury/personal situation behind it Like I said, we'll be fine either way... its just the absence of an explanation that's gotten under my skin Our intrepid beat writers need to be asking about it |
