Chiefs @ Bills moved to Sunday! (Unless Titans have more positives.)

Whole new meaning to remember the titans |
I remember the Titans.
They were that team that acted as a speed bump on our way to a Lombardi. They’ll probably throw another positive on purpose just to spite us for spanking that ass last year. |
Nice...nice.

So, "reverts back" if there are more Titan positives. Let's talk about that. That basically means the NFL is saying the Bills get a bye before playing us, but we are on 3 days rest playing on Thursday. And it's a Bills home game.

NFL announces schedule changes for upcoming Broncos-Patriots, Bills-Titans games
Published: Oct 08, 2020 at 08:37 PM Grant Gordon NFL.com Digital Content Producer Two scheduling changes for Week 5 -- and a potential one for Week 6 -- were announced by the NFL on Thursday as a result of COVID-19 cases affecting multiple NFL teams. The Denver Broncos at New England Patriots game originally scheduled for Sunday is now scheduled for Monday at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN. Sunday's Buffalo Bills at Tennessee Titans contest now is set to be played on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET on CBS. The Kansas City Chiefs at Bills Week 6 game set for next Thursday will be moved to "later in the weekend" should Bills-Titans be played Tuesday, per the league's official release. "These scheduling decisions were made to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel and in consultation with medical experts," the league stated in the announcement. This will mark the second consecutive week in which the Patriots have had a Sunday game moved to Monday. Their Week 4 game against the Chiefs also was rescheduled. The news follows Patriots star cornerback Stephon Gilmore testing positive for the novel coronavirus, which came to light on Wednesday morning. Gilmore was the third Patriots player to have tested positive of late, joining quarterback Cam Newton and practice-squad defensive lineman Bill Murray. Earlier Thursday, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported the Patriots had zero new positive COVID-19 tests stemming from Wednesday's testing. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that the Patriots will continue to work virtually Friday with their facility closed. The Titans' facility is also closed and has been since Sep. 29 following their Week 3 game against the Minnesota Vikings, as Tennessee has had multiple positive COVID-19 tests this week. The Titans will also have a second straight week in which their schedule has been altered. Tennessee's Week 4 contest versus the Pittsburgh Steelers was pushed back to Week 7. Currently, 21 members of the organization have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The NFL and NFL Players Association are currently looking into multiple unauthorized workouts involving Titans players since their facility closed, Pelissero reported earlier Thursday. Previously, NFLPA and NFL representatives went to the Titans facility to ascertain whether there was a break in protocol that led to the outbreak. Related Content |

Odd that seemingly all the teams that have had positive tests so far are AFC teams

I haven’t read the other thread at all so I had no idea about this. I’d say a Chiefs game being moved is certainly thread worthy. There are threads about pots and pans after all.

The good news for wazu though is thanks to my incessant bitching bumping this thread to the top, it is now the defecto "official" thread to talk about the Bills game getting moved to Sunday.

Worth it to rag on the pots and pans thread. I'm thinking about starting a cleaning supplies thread. Where do you use your anti-bacterial? What are you paying for your all purpose lately?

Hopefully this is flexed to SNF. Mahomes vs Allen. Chiefs vs Bills, both potentially undefeated. Must-see TV. Move Rams 49ers (injuries) out, put it on TNF, or Sunday afternoon. For all those complaining "Chiefs get too many primetime games" our scheduled SNF game vs the Donks is almost CERTAIN to be flexed out.
Rams Cardinals, Eagles Packers, Browns Titans, even Bengals Dolphins (Burrow vs Tua) are all more appealing options, and they've got months to decide. Nobody gonna want the dumbass Donks (3-13 team probably) on primetime. |

I considered making a thread with my post but knew this would happen. |

I was really dreading the Bills game assuming the Titans-Bills got postponed. They would have had a bye week while the Chiefs would have their 3rd game in 10 days. It wouldn't have surprised me if the Bills would have destroyed the tired, beat-up and unprepared Chiefs on TNF.
This is much more fair. Granted, the Bills lose 2 days, to prepare but that's much less of an issue than what the Chiefs would have faced going into the Bills game. |

Sunday to Tuesday for the Titans game and then Thursday to Sunday for the Chiefs game. The Chiefs will get more rest than the Bills but the Bills will get an extra day of rest by the NFL moving both games. |
So I told Vrabel, "Mike, just send the team to practice at the local high school. I know the principal there. Nobody will ever know."https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...82735a0a31.jpg

Jets just had a player test positive. Sent all there players and coaches home

I thought the NFL had extra practice squad players for situations like the Jets?

Don’t they say there can be 3-4 day incubation period?
Monday night (Pat w/ Gilmore) to tonight is 4 days. I’ll feel better when I see another negative test from Pat tomorrow morning and know he’s probably in the clear at that point. Although, to be honest, we could beat the Faid with Henne or Moore at QB if we had to. |
The obsession with the "Q" button on this forum is out of control.
There is another thread with a vague title of "Titans Bills possibly moved to Monday or Tuesday..Chiefs Bills to Saturday?" which indicates the possibility of a change of date. The thread title has no indication of the game being moved to Sunday. Some people don't want to wade through 145 posts of people's personal opinions on COVID to find the needle-in-the-haystack post that says the Chiefs game has been moved to Sunday. Isn't it easier to find that information in the thread with the very clear title of "Chiefs @ Bills moved to Sunday!"? I will never understand CP's obsession with the "Q" button. It's played out, it's smug, and it is simply inaccurate in cases like this. Get over yourselves. |
