You cant spell FU without Fox. Or something like that.

Easy 6 12-30-2020 12:18 PM

Dammit, Fox... gonna have to stream this one

CoMoChief 12-30-2020 12:24 PM

Non thread related....but I really wish the NFL would treat holiday games like the NBA does.

For instance Thanksgiving...I think it's safe to say everyone is tired of seeing the Cowboys and Lions play on this day...should be some flex options in there given the state of each team's record/matchups etc.

Same with Xmas day.

Fox throughout Iowa was always going to go with a Bears Packers game that means something,.

Was hoping for some leniency on this side of the state, but especially with the Chiefs sitting most of their starters I can see why it is mapped that way.

Hoover 12-30-2020 12:51 PM

I'm so thankful that CBS has a deal with the AFC...

Deberg_1990 12-30-2020 12:58 PM

I guess we can listen to Mitch Holtus “Lay the hammer down!”

alanm 12-30-2020 01:04 PM

****!! I gotta watch on the computer this week. Thanks for moving this to FOX assholes!!:cuss::cuss:Packers/Bears is the national game at that time. I'm starting to really hate the Packers.

The other travesty is having to watch Pittsburgh browns over Miami Buffalo

big nasty kcnut 12-30-2020 01:40 PM

Folks if you have a phone you can mirror the screen to your tv so use one of the tv streaming sites click on the game. Then on your phone you use smart view and boom you'll have the game on your tv.

banyon 12-30-2020 01:44 PM

Will be watching Redzone it looks like from this map.

No one else just plugs their computer/laptop into their TV with an HDMI cable? Is that just too uncool now?

Chris Spielman was paired with Kevin Kugler, and Spielman I liked on ESPN doing college games, but I hadn't heard him on any NFL games. However, Spielman just took a front office job with the Lions. So Fox moved Kevin Kugler with Brock Huart, the long ago Miami Hurricane QB. They had a 3 man booth with Huart & Greg Jennings, I heard them do a Arizona game and didn't care for Jennings, now they split those two up. Huart seems to talk a lot, he talks too much. I saw Huard and Kugler last week do the Ravens/Giants game and they were just OK, nothing great. Huard actually reminds of the old Raider tightend Todd Christian when he did games in the 80's. He would talk non-stop, I know that's going back a little.

siberian khatru 12-30-2020 02:46 PM

That’s gotta be the smallest viewing area for a Chiefs game this season. And understandably so.

I did it up through last season.

KChiefs1 12-30-2020 04:03 PM

Chiefs game is going to be a preseason-like game anyway.

There are some great games though this Sunday.

Miami @ Buffalo
Arizona @ LA Rams
Dallas @ NY Giants
Green Bay @ Chicago

Frazod 12-30-2020 04:41 PM

Hell, I may watch the Packers/Bears game instead of the Chiefs game. Assuming it's competitive. Which if history is any indicator it won't be. I do not think this is the week the Bears finally gnarfle the garthok.

As far as the Chiefs are concerned, the only thing I care about is nobody else getting hurt.

That's what I do.

I fully recognize that I have an antiquated television viewing system, though. One of my goals for 2021 is to figure out how to move into the 21st century.

There are so many ‘win and you’re in’ games already. Week 17 is going to be a blast.

Not only is my main entertainment TV plugged in to my desktop with HDMI, my desktop is connected to my modem with a 30 foot ethernet cable.

I think I’ll record the Chiefs game & watch it later.

So many games with meaning on Sunday.

I sometimes do it that way because it's always a last minute thought, so I've never taken the time to setup the receiver's streaming service thing.

If you need a moderator, I'll do it.

People who don't stream wirelessly, people who still post on facebook, people who still listen to FM radio, anyone who doesn't know what a tiktok is, anyone who thinks 1980 was about 20 years ago...

No flip phones allowed, we must have standards.

Dammit, I was all in until you nixed flip phones. I loved my flip phone. When I figured out how to make the Star Trek communicator sound my ring tone I was in geek heaven.

It's hilariously sad that after all these years of the NFCE being crammed down our throats for the ratings, most of the nation gets all four teams today as we get to find out who "wins" the shittiest division in the history of the NFL... where every team would have ~3-4 wins if they didn't benefit from playing each other twice. :Lin:

They've had 'cross-flexing' in place for the past 6 seasons for rating grabs.

https://www.startribune.com/wait-why...cbs/561231552/

Quote:

In 2014, the league introduced “cross-flexing,” which allows a select number of games annually that would have typically aired on Fox or CBS to be aired on the other Sunday afternoon network. That means, for example, that an all-AFC matchup could air on Fox and an all-NFC game could appear on CBS. An equal number of games must be cross-flexed: if CBS airs three games originally slated for Fox, then Fox would have to get three games that would have originally aired on CBS.
