Ryan Fitzpatrick tests positive for COVID...

All on Tua Sunday... https://twitter.com/tompelissero/sta...648339456?s=21

#Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick tested positive for COVID-19 and is out for Sunday’s game against the #Bills, sources tell me and @RapSheet.
Miami doesn’t have to win to get in, but there’s a good chance they will miss with a loss + Browns win.

'Hamas' Jenkins 12-31-2020 12:31 PM

The Chiefs better keep Mahomes in the Bubble Boy's old digs throughout the playoffs.

KChiefs1 12-31-2020 12:39 PM

I guess there won't be anymore arguments about who starts at QB for the Dolphins.

Deberg_1990 12-31-2020 12:39 PM

I believe in Tua!

Halfcan 12-31-2020 01:36 PM

I think I will have a Tua fish sandwich for lunch today.

MAG 12-31-2020 01:37 PM

Fitztragic.

Megatron96 12-31-2020 01:39 PM

Dolphins odds of winning just dropped to zero.

Another advantage of resting for the playoffs?

Opposite in my opinion. 3 weeks of downtime between games is plenty of time for someone in the organization to get sick and spread it. Sure seemed like a bunch of the COVID problems came during/after bye weeks for other teams.

Kman34 12-31-2020 01:49 PM

Must have been that fasemask from that dirty Raider....

TribalElder 12-31-2020 01:56 PM

Tua is about to get exposed

Teams like the Chiefs should seriously consider setting up their own bubble at this point. Rent out an entire hotel if need be. It would be an absolute disaster for a Super Bowl contender if some practice squad guy ended up infecting key players shortly before a playoff game.

I don't know how much more you could expose a guy that can't scramble, can't throw outside the numbers, can't throw deep, who has significant past injury concerns, and who benefitted from having more talent at the skill positions on his college team than almost any NFL team.

This is a damn good idea.

Idk about that. Josh Allen isn't supposed to play the entire game-if any of it. This doesn't sound like a coach who's playing alot of his main guys:

"Will Josh Allen, Bills starters play against Miami? Sean McDermott has plan" https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bil...outputType=amp

Just speculating, but I just don't think Tua is going to fare well against their pass defense. Right now he's just too easy to gameplan for. Maybe a season or two from now he figures out how to play in the NFL, but today he's just too limited. And they're going to be playing in BUF. Doubt Tua has ever played in that kind of weather, and with just average arm strength, that's going to be a problem.

Largely I agree. But the kid CAN throw the deep ball. I just have no idea why he doesn't. Could be Flores made him a headcase. Maybe he can't transfer power after the injury.

It's one of the more weird things I've seen.

Could not agree more. Get this shit done yesterday.

Who gives a ****.

comochiefsfan 12-31-2020 02:15 PM

Any team that's in playoff contention needs to create a bubble right now. I know teams aren't technically allowed to make it mandatory but I can't imagine a super bowl contending team wouldn't have buy in from the whole roster.

Imagine losing a playoff game because a key player refused to stay in a hotel for a month. That player might as well start looking for a new team immediately.

It's just not worth the risk at this time of year and I hope our guys are receptive to doing that.

BWillie 12-31-2020 02:33 PM

That's really too bad. It looks like he was their lightening in the bottle.

If I was the Dolphins coach, I'd play Tua to start games and when the team is winning but I'd go to Fitzmagic once the team falls behind or needs scores at the end of the game.

We'll see. He hasn't looked good. Fitzpatrick probably should've started the whole time, but they manage to keep winning pulling this switcheroo BS off. I dont think the fins thought they would be this good this soon.

Personally I'm hoping that we see a long, brutal battle that Miami wins (hopefully hilariously knocking out the rat birds) where both teams are feeling it going into the playoffs. I have nothing against Miami, and thought it was hilarious how they fleeced the Texans for a now top 3 pick.

I dont care who we face as we're better than all contenders BUT I wouldn't mind destroying the Bills in arrowhead so that everyone can see Allen is nothing compared to Mahomes.

They better just go ahead and rush him over some vaccine. He can have mine and I'll get some later.

OrtonsPiercedTaint 12-31-2020 03:43 PM

I wouldn't trust a hotel & it's employees at all. They could practice in the caves & stay in really nice motorhomes LMAO
