Disappointing- kinda surprised, I believe he has a bonus on the line

UChieffyBugger 01-24-2021 04:28 AM

If he's testing pre game at least he still has a chance. If he didn't have a chance he would have been ruled out along with Bell.

Sammy 'Made Of Glass' Watkins

TEX 01-24-2021 07:30 AM

No matter what, do not bring Watkins back next season. I appreciate what he did in the past - especially in the playoffs, but if he cant answer the bell, in the only area that he shines, he loses all usefulness. If "Playoff Sammy" can't play, then he needs to go.

PHOG 01-24-2021 07:31 AM

 Get your butt out they're Sammy, we need all hands on deck.

Bell flat out sucks. Sammy only does cuz he's not available much of the time.

Scooter LaCanforno 01-24-2021 07:41 AM

"Wheelchair Watkins" does it again.

Red Dawg 01-24-2021 07:41 AM

Sammy is broken. They should cut him today. How worthless was bringing him back. Terrible waste of m of money.

ChiTown 01-24-2021 07:44 AM

CEH is one tough MF’r.

Bring it home, Clyde!

jhawkinVA 01-24-2021 07:46 AM

I hope he can go. He makes our receiving corps nearly unstoppable.

That said, if he doesn't have the juice, is rather have the other guys out there. We need explosive playmakers and crisp routes to draw Hill and Kelce free.

SupDock 01-24-2021 07:46 AM

How many snaps constitutes playing in the game?

Considering bringing him back only cost $2M more than outright cutting him would have brought him back, still a calculated move I agree with.

HemiEd 01-24-2021 07:56 AM

Somehow I missed it, what is wrong with Bell? I know he was not in the game but a few plays last week. Obviously he must have been injurred?

tmax63 01-24-2021 07:58 AM

Bell's knee swelled up on him in practice Wed.

True, but the Chiefs can easily match his receiving yards. What they cant match is is downfield blocking. He's easily the best blocking WR on the team.

In58men 01-24-2021 08:17 AM

He hasn’t been ruled out, game time decision.

Strategy play by Reid. Keep Bills guessing.

Exactly. One would think that he would have a little "dawg" in him to "make the Bills pay" for letting him go - whether manufactured or not. Unfortunately the only "dawg" Sammy has in him is wienie dog...

MahomesMagic 01-24-2021 08:20 AM

Imagine this offense with Allen Robinson next year instead.

Tyreek, Robinson, Hardman and Kelce.

Mahomes would throw 60 TDs.

dirk digler 01-24-2021 08:21 AM

**** him if he doesn't play. He has been out for 4 weeks wtf dude.

pugsnotdrugs19 01-24-2021 08:21 AM

Dude just needs to retire if he physically can’t get up for a game like this and everything it should mean to him.

His body or mind or both clearly isn’t cut out for this shit. Just pisses me off so much, cause we need him. Hopefully this doesn’t cost us big time.

Bwana 01-24-2021 08:23 AM

Gee, what a shock!!

OrtonsPiercedTaint 01-24-2021 08:25 AM

Yep. I think his mindset is that in the past he had that foot injury, and he tried to play through it, and he ended up making it worse. In his mind he may feel that it cost him certain things. So now he's not willing to go, at anything less than 100%.

AROD3024 01-24-2021 08:29 AM

Sammy was such a disappointment for Buffalo too. He came out on fire then got hurt and that was it.... spent more time on bench than on field. And still having foot issues. He may be done, actually. Man is peanut brittle! Sad to see cause I liked him a lot when he was a Bill. But I’d be shocked if he wasn’t out there tonight. Even just as a decoy for mahomies.

And missed multiple weeks before that also during the season... Feels like he only played in like 8 or 9games this year, but I could be wrong. Im sure there are games where he played a few snaps and will get credit for playing a game. 1st Raider game comes to mind. - maybe the Bills and Falcons also

OrtonsPiercedTaint 01-24-2021 08:32 AM

Sammy is what Slyvester Morris could have been

ForeverIowan 01-24-2021 08:39 AM

If he isn't out there today he better not ever wear a Chiefs jersey again. That includes the SB in two weeks. Give the snaps to Hardman and Pringle.

He’s going to command at least $15m per year probably so there’s really no way he will be in Kansas City. Hopefully we can find another guy, draft or FA, who can take that role and exceed expectations.

Otter 01-24-2021 08:41 AM

This dude needs to be moved from salaried to hourly.

Kman34 01-24-2021 08:43 AM

I’ve got this feeling that he is going to play... Or I’ve got to take a shit.. not sure which...

InChiefsHeaven 01-24-2021 08:43 AM

Look, I'm sure he wants to play. But, if I were him, I'd play until I couldn't. If he's legit injured, there's nothing he can do. If he's 75%, I can't believe he wouldn't want to play. Huge game against his old team.

Regardless, I personally don't think we need him. He's a luxury. One we can afford to lose.

siberian khatru 01-24-2021 08:44 AM

If he’s that iffy he probably ought to sit. More than once in the past he’s decided to “give it a go,” is activated, plays a handful of snaps and then shuts it down. That doesn’t do anybody any good.

This is probably the truth.

Fully healthy Hardman/Robinson/Pringle are more trustworthy than whatever Watkins is apparently at.
