Titty Meat 03-04-2021 04:54 PM

Wtf just a few weeks ago he made it sound like he was going to sign here if we offered him a contract.

Dartgod 03-04-2021 04:54 PM

Dammit, I need to get his jersey.

cabletech94 03-04-2021 04:56 PM

Damn. Thanks sausage. That wheel route against San Diego/LA was a thing of beauty.

Chris Meck 03-04-2021 04:56 PM

Farewell, Sausage!

Mahomes' first TD, right?

Rain Man 03-04-2021 04:58 PM

Oh, that makes me sad. He's been a mainstay of the team forever.

The block to spring Williams free in the Super Bowl was pretty sweet, too.

Mr_Tomahawk 03-04-2021 05:01 PM

Damn. He was a favorite. My kids named our Pug, "Sherman," after him.

He didn’t score a TD that game.

Farewell sausage! Didn’t we trade Javier arenas for Sherman?

TinyEvel 03-04-2021 05:11 PM

Weird. That's the same outfit I wore to announce that I was leaving my book club.

KC Hawks 03-04-2021 05:12 PM

Mahomes first TD was to Hill.

KC Hawks 03-04-2021 05:14 PM

I stand corrected. I just looked it up and thought he threw one. I can't remember what I did last week... don't vknow what I thought I could remember something from 2017.

My bad

scho63 03-04-2021 05:15 PM

He was being used less and less. Andy ****ed up not having him as an extra blocker in the Super Bowl.

Loved the guy. Good luck to you Sausage!

It goes nationally unnoticed because he’s a fullback, but pound for pound, one of the greatest steals in a trade of all time.

Beef Supreme 03-04-2021 05:25 PM

Great guy to root for. Always came through when they called his number.

First completion was to Harris, a great catch in that same game.

Going to really miss Sherman, he has been rock solid for a very long time.

Deberg_1990 03-04-2021 05:45 PM

How will Andy play with his Sausage now?

Chiefshrink 03-04-2021 05:52 PM

Andy will always have a fullback in this offense so it will be interesting if he drafts one or picks up a FA.

Did Sherman just become a deputy sheriff?

frozenchief 03-04-2021 06:20 PM

1. I am sad he will not be a Chief anymore. Loved his work ethic and what he brought to this team.

2. I am glad he was not cut but retired.

3. I am also glad he got to go to 2 Super Bowls and win at least 1. I mean, think of Jim Kelly.

4. Riding off in a helicopter was really cool.

Red Dawg 03-04-2021 06:27 PM

That's a top 5 throw in Mahomes' career so far. Just beautiful. And I always loved how all the running backs ran down field to show Sherman some love after that play.

Happy retirement, Sausage. Go live your best life.

HonestChieffan 03-04-2021 08:46 PM

Man that sucks big time.

Dunerdr 03-04-2021 09:14 PM

A great Chief! One of my favorite players. It is weird to think this was a piece of the Tony G. trade and he just retired.

Buehler445 03-05-2021 01:07 AM

Love him. He was still crushing dudes on ST. I can’t remember what game it was but he absolutely hammered a dude this year. Always brought it. Made a hell of a career out of not a ton of talent.

Hat tip.

bringbackmarty 03-05-2021 01:40 AM

He's shooting feral pigs in Texas. That's the reason for the getup and the helicopter. I personally would love to do this, alas as I have childrens that depend on me, I will not be boarding a helicopter to lean out the side and shoot feral pigs, I will shoot my feral pigs on the ground. Truth be told, I took a joyride in a small plane about 20 years ago when I only had 1 childrens, it was over the Mississippi river south of new orleans and we were spooking herds of feral pigs that numbered in the hundreds. Wish I had the gun then when I had the courage. Nothing better than wild Bacon\Pork Loin. Scary ****ing animal if you are on the ground and have nothing but birdshot and a couple of slugs in your pocket.

54 pigs in one day. thats some serious pulled pork. The best dudes average that, imagine 30 deer in one day as a hunter. If you are shitty, pay 3 grand and shoot 30. I hope they harvest the meat.

He had a ton of talent. We will see how the RBs for the Chiefs(and Mahomes' scrambles) do in the future without a blocking FB. Sherman didn't get the ball often but when he did, he typically made good use of the opportunity. He was a player the team could always count on when there were others around him who weren't so reliable.

Couch-Potato 03-05-2021 07:15 AM

Genuinely a bit confused, is he actually becoming a deputy sheriff?

If so awesome!!! If not, kind of a weird sign-off.

People have been trying to cut Sherman in mock offseasons for years now even though (especially with the new CBA) he essentially counts nothing against the cap

redfan 03-05-2021 07:24 AM

Farewell, Abe Froman.

OrtonsPiercedTaint 03-05-2021 07:26 AM

Sherman shooting feral pigs out one side the helicopter. Von Miller feeding them dead hookers out the other

Wisconsin_Chief 03-05-2021 07:27 AM

We will miss him more than people realize.

He was a legitimately good player. Probably would have had the impact of a Tommy Vardell type if he was playing in those days. Just a guy who was around in the wrong era of the game.

Thanks for everything 42.

oldman 03-05-2021 09:13 AM

A lot of people make fun of the player described as a "lunch pail, high motor guy", but for #42, that's a badge of honor. We'll miss him.

ChiefBlueCFC 03-05-2021 09:18 AM

Sherm with the trigger discipline. love it

I'm sure it won't happen because he is too expensive but I would take kyle juszczyk here

Me too, but I think we'll have to draft that type of guy.

I made a joke earlier that we should be able to afford him because he's a fullback, right? RIGHT?

Dude is good.
