Called it.
|
Jesus Christ.
|
well, thanks for a few years ago
|
That has to mean they are targeting a FA OT
|
Back surgery & torn Achilles don't equate to being back by training camp.
|
Guy was great until the injury this year. Back injuries don't **** around. Good luck to Mitch
|
Had heard from locals in Ohio that his injury last year was likely career ending. Seemed hard to believe back then, but it looks like they were right.

They have to protect Mahomes, at all costs.... |
We have released RT Mitchell Schwartz.
We'll never forget his 7,894 snap-streak. Thank you Mitchell for five incredible seasons. |
For all the chiefs brain trusts that said we couldn’t cut injured players. Veech sees you
|
whoa.
|
will they look at Reilly Reiff?

You can't JUST cut an injured player, that's been the argument all along and it still holds true. The Chiefs will have a nominal cap hit for both players and be responsible for paying for their rehab at the very least, absent an injury settlement. |
Thank you Fish and Schwartz
|
We'll probably never know, but I think there was an internal disagreement between the Chiefs and Schwartz with how his injury and recovery were handled... similar to Eric Berry.
|
Wait, both of them? I came into this thread expecting bad news about Schwartz and then you blindside me with Fisher too? That's cruel.

Well at least now we know. Thank you Fish and Schwartz!

So is Niang a legit contender at RT now?

They need to figure this out soon, or RIP Mahomes.

I think you can go ahead and pencil him in today. |

Ah so now Geoff will trash us for years on his shows, his butthurt over his brother is so weird.
|
Never seen a guy go from Cal Ripken Jr to Greg Oden so quickly.

What the ****?

Schwartz pretty much completely shut down some of the best pass rushers in the game. Sucks that this back injury ended him.
|
SB Champ, great career. We won't forget. Thanks Mitch!

Random thought, and maybe I'm just being nostalgic/homerish...
Mitch has made it clear via social media that he is in KC for the long haul and plans to build a life here. He has also made it clear that he plans to continue his rehab and to see what comes of it. Is there a chance we get to August/September/October, and decide to bring him back (on a team-friendly deal)? Not necessarily to be a stone cold starter, if he's not there physically, but as depth? They obviously have Niang penciled in, and will likely be bringing back Remmers, so my initial thought is no. It will be interesting to see if that is something that he and Veach work out, or if he is actually going to hang them up. |

More of a likelihood of a mid-season return than Fish. |
Thank You MS! Go CAL!

The refs were intent on giving Tampa a lead. Once they got a big lead they backed off the penalties. The refs were so intent on helping Tampa it should have been investigated. |
