Can they opt out again this year? I'd expect to see the UDFAs there, but I wonder about the draft picks.

No well at least so far opt outs have not been offered.

scho63 05-14-2021 09:58 AM

And so it begins.......

Who will be this year's camp "superstar" that gets cut?

Who will be the sleeper who makes the team?

I wouldn’t count on it considering how small/weak our UDFA class is this year, but getting Trey Smith in the 6th was HUGE, so I’ll take that instead.

Did anyone else read the Twitter comments?

LMAO

I don't know if it's just Chiefs fans or NFL fans in general (probably the latter) but that kind of epic dipshittery is funny for about 10 seconds, then it's just annoying AF because those people actually believe what they're saying.

"The Chiefs don't need Kaindoh. Ever heard of Okafor?" and "Noah Gray is going to sit on the bench all season. Bad pick. Kelce is still the best!".

LMAO

He does look a little bigger, but considering it’s ****ing May and he hasn’t played football in quite some time, yea he might need to shed 10-15 before the season.

It’s not “40 pounds”. That’s for sure.

It's the same gut he had under that puffy sweatshirt he wore in his workout video. I doubt he is at his ideal weight but he has that barrel chest as Roaf had. You could see that thing nearly hit him in the chin when he runs or back peddles. He has 67 on in this camp wasn't he 77 in his college film?

I want to believe, but perhaps I am just a Doubting Thomas.

Malik played in 34 games at Georgia and he had 70 tackles and 4 sacks. I think he was a rotational player at Georgia.

At the 2021 Senior Bowl practice in January, he tore his ACL.

I have read that the Chiefs are looking at Malik maybe getting healthy and being able to help in 2022.

I always want to root for a young player to come and make a difference for the Chiefs.

What is it about Mr. Herring that has you NOT doubting?

Yeah, they really are.

I also loved the picture they pulled up of him at TCU... if you do a random google search for Lucas Niang and pull up the Images tab, you have to scroll down the page to get to that phot (which I'd guess is from early in his career there, since his jr-sr game film and pics (pics that show up higher in the google search) all show a paunch that is visible even when he's wearing pads.

I'd guess he's MAYBE up 10-15 pounds from the weight he was at in his last few years at TCU. Not a concern to me at all.

And if they want him to shed that 10-15 pounds, it’s only May.

He has a little bit of Willie Roaf going on with that big gut and skinny legs.

Listening to Trey Smith interview. He’s got a similar mindset to Orlando Brown Jr. He’s determined and has a strong will to meet his goals.

This OL is going to be so badass. It’s going to be even better in 2022 when they’ve had a little more time to gel

Not sure why the thought of having a dominant o-line gets me so hard but man it sure ****ing does, you can do anything you want and the other team can't do shit about it.

I think you just answered your own question.

When's the last time we had a dominant line? Run-blocking in particular has been garbage for years. Sick of seeing other teams' RBs going 6 yards untouched while ours are in a constant fight to get to the line of scrimmage.

Our offense may have been pretty dominant last year relative to the rest of the league, but the reality is that they relied heavily upon schemes, trickery and Mahomes Magic. Imagine the possibilities when they're able to finally impose their will in the trenches.

I don’t necessarily want us to run the ball more, but we need to be much more effective when we do. We have to absolutely punish teams if they start dropping 7. Need to be able to gain serious yards on the ground in those situations and any real pressure with 4 is inexcusable.

Rewatch the SB. It was a tale of two lines. One was a brick wall, the other was the grand canyon. It's not hard to imagine which line won the SB.

I wouldn’t count on it considering how small/weak our UDFA class is this year, but getting Trey Smith in the 6th was HUGE, so I’ll take that instead.

Icing on the cake I agree.

Sounds like a phantom IR stash candidate.

Because as good as PMII is out in space, he's going to be that much better with time to process in the pocket.....

He looks like an Offensive Lineman. Were you guys expecting Fabio?
