And yet O.J. lives

TwistedChief 09-14-2021 12:28 PM

Ugh. He was amazing.

FloridaMan88 09-14-2021 12:30 PM

He was the second best SNL Weekend Update anchor after Dennis Miller.

louie aguiar 09-14-2021 12:30 PM

Wha... I loved Norm MacDonald

eDave 09-14-2021 12:33 PM

Mephistopheles Janx 09-14-2021 12:33 PM

Well shit... that is a huge bummer.

BigRedChief 09-14-2021 12:34 PM

That’s some real old school man stuff right there. Kept it private from everyone.

gblowfish 09-14-2021 12:34 PM

Norm was totally unfiltered and a straight shooter. He was relentless on OJ during those trial days. He's a hero to lots of comedians. He'll be missed.

backinblack 09-14-2021 12:36 PM

god damn it. dude was hilarious and his SNL run is legendary.

L.A. Chieffan 09-14-2021 12:36 PM

My favorite comedian ever what the hell

Prison Bitch 09-14-2021 12:37 PM

RIP to a funny man

Pepe Silvia 09-14-2021 12:44 PM

Loved him in Dirty Work. Even his cameo in Deuce Bigalow was hilarious.

lcarus 09-14-2021 12:46 PM

Or so the Germans would have us believe...

Deberg_1990 09-14-2021 12:47 PM

RIP. Funny as hell

scho63 09-14-2021 12:49 PM

Only Steven Wright could match Norm's dry sense of humor that was incredible.

Sad to hear and a fantastic comic.

R.I.P.

smithandrew051 09-14-2021 12:49 PM

The compilation of him shitting all over Jon Lovitz is hilarious

B_Razz 09-14-2021 12:54 PM

Damnit, I didnt appreciate his comedy as I was younger but the last two years I really dug it and wanted to see him perform. This sucks. Rest in Peace Norm

Red Dawg 09-14-2021 12:54 PM

That's too bad. Pretty funny guy.

burt 09-14-2021 12:55 PM

Wow. What a sad shocker.

cosmo20002 09-14-2021 12:57 PM

****...didn't know he was sick.

He had a "sports" show on Comedy Central about 10 years ago that I thought was great. Probably ran for about 10 episodes before getting cancelled.

Baby Lee 09-14-2021 12:58 PM

I prefer a world where Carlin, Patrice O'Neal, Norm and Robin Williams are making jokes to our bleaker less amusing future.

Not a lot of bravery or contrarians out there anymore, outside Tim Dillon.

lawrenceRaider 09-14-2021 01:00 PM

Dammit. Have always loved Norm. Seemed like he was really one of us. An absolutely BRILLIANT one of us, but one of us nonetheless.

GayFrogs 09-14-2021 01:03 PM

Holy shit. This is hard to believe. I watch his talk show appearances at least once every couple weeks, just did a few days ago. Great standup too. His appearances on stern when artie lange was there were gold.

EPodolak 09-14-2021 01:03 PM

Man, farewell. Norm was an original. RIP.

BWillie 09-14-2021 01:04 PM

**** you cancer. It's so ****ing stupid. Takes so many people too young.

Rain Man 09-14-2021 01:07 PM

Yeah, I always made sure to catch his standup on Comedy Central back in the day. They repeated his HBO special and his A-List appearances pretty often back in the mid 90s.

I still say his roast of Bob Saget is one of the best ever.

Why Not? 09-14-2021 01:16 PM

He was so ****ing funny. Dirty Work is an absolutely underrated comedy.

I enjoyed his humor… Rip… Prayers to his family..

New World Order 09-14-2021 01:53 PM

I was wondering why he wasn't one of Conan's last guests.

Turns out he was sick. He had one of the funniest standup bits of all time talking about Cancer.

RIP Norm.

neech 09-14-2021 01:56 PM

Dang, didn't expect this.

RIP to a great comedian.

Norm wrote the Celebrity Jeopardy skit so he could showcase his Burt Reynolds impersonation. My all-time favorite SNL bit.

cookster50 09-14-2021 02:18 PM

Sean Lock, and now Norm, booooo to death.

Frazod 09-14-2021 02:20 PM

"After grisly photos of the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson were shown in court, O.J. turned his head away and wept. It was at that moment that he realized he would never be able to kill her again."

My guy right there.

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-14-2021 02:24 PM

His opening monologue at the 1998 ESPYs was tremendous. The shock and horror of Bonds, Ken Griffey Jr and Harold Reynolds when he told the OJ/Heisman joke is one of my favorite gifs.

ClevelandBronco 09-14-2021 02:30 PM

The funniest man on the planet is now Bill Burr.

Thanks for everything, Norm.

sully1983 09-14-2021 02:34 PM

Horrible news. He was great on SNL (back when it was actually funny) and his film Dirty Work is a criminally underrated comedy. If you haven't seen it, definitely check it out.

RIP Norm and thanks for the laughs.

SuperBowl4 09-14-2021 02:35 PM

His jokes about O.J. Simpson were hilarious during the trial and after on SNL! :thumb::thumb:

PunkinDrublic 09-14-2021 02:37 PM

Probably one of the wittiest comics I’ve ever seen. That smile let you know he was ten steps ahead of everyone else on the punchline. His Larry King impersonation was my favorite.

Dirty work as a whole is a shitty movie but the cameos with Chris Farley, Don Rickles and Chevy Chase are all hilarious.

gblowfish 09-14-2021 02:38 PM

Norm at his best tearing into OJ Simpson:

One of the absolute best to ever do it.

JimNasium 09-14-2021 02:41 PM

His appearances on Conan were always epic. The 12-minute joke is sick, twisted and utterly hilarious. I guess I’m left clinging to Bill Burr and Louis CK. Well, I won’t cling to Louis, that might get sticky.

This one hurts. One of my absolute favorites.

I assume the wake will be held under the Queensboro bridge so that Adam Eget doesn't have to take a personal day.
