This is stupid. Of course KC still wins the division. Still going to the SB. Just making most of our mistakes now. KC will clean up their act, the OL will gel in 4-5 more weeks, and the defense will likewise come together in a few weeks, then they'll just roll.

We went through a similar stretch two years ago.

People were fumbling like crazy and defense looked bad. The offense was good but wasn’t putting teams away.

We can absolutely right the ship. Without the turnovers, we’re 3-0 right now.

I don’t think the record is indicative of how good the team.

We lost to the Ravens on a fluke fumble. The defense was shit, but Lamar Jackson CAN be really good.
The offense could have been better as well.

We lost to the Chargers due to some very uncharacteristic turnovers. No Ward, and no Fenton hurt. Some questionable calls, but meh, whatever. Not to mention Tyreek was definitely gimpy in the 2nd half.

I still think this is a very talented team that's going to win a lot of games.

The next-best team needed a four turnover advantage and a gift call to eek out a win.

Ya the offense gets it together at least. We have the NFL's best QB. It's off to a bad start but they'll get it together and start dropping 40+ per game.

I’m thinking a wildcard spot. Having the 32nd ranked defense is too much for even our offense to overcome.

I still don’t see many games on the schedule that KC shouldn’t be favored in.

The offense has moved the ball with relative ease. It’s not likely that turnovers will continue to be a problem.

Run defense isn’t good but it hasn’t been for years.

This [emoji817]. We fans haven’t experienced losing 2 in a row in forever and suddenly “the team sucks and (insert player/coach/exec) sucks! Fire them!”.

We got so accustomed to winning that we can’t take losses with grace anymore. For ****s sake, we’ll be alright. It’s a regular season loss at the beginning of the season.

I don't think that's ever happened around here, outside of those 2-14 years where it was so bad, there was no reason to be angry week-to-week.

I don't care if you're the worst team in the league that 12/12 red zone defense stat is the kinda thing that gets people fired.

In 2015 we started out 1-5 then went on a 10 game winning streak after beating the Steelers and made the playoffs that was with Alex Smith at quarterback and we have Patrick ****ing Mahomes II so we can and will be winning this division.

They've allowed 3 more points than the 2018 team that was 3-0 at this point in their season, so to say they won't even make the playoffs due to the defense is a stretch. Any kind of small improvement between turnovers and not giving up 250 yards on the ground and they're 3-0... and their schedule isn't exactly filled with playoff teams from here, unlike their first 3 games.

It's really not unbelievable. We're 2 games back with 2 games left against the Raiders and another against the Chargers.

Would anyone here really be surprised if we rattled off a bunch of wins here over the next few months and ended up something like 13-4? I wouldn't. I also wouldn't be surprised to see the Raiders come back to Earth (like they have the last two seasons after getting off to fast starts).

14 more games, man. That's a lot of football left to be played.

Interesting that 538's rating system has all four AFCW teams going 10-7 or better. If that's anywhere near accurate, the division is going to be a dogfight this year.

Wow, they've got the Broncos with the best chance of winning the division? That is pretty absurd.

I get their basic math as there probably aren't a ton of teams that go 1-2 in a division with a team that goes 3-0, and the 1-2 team overtakes them... and that's just because it's not crazy often that an underdog team happens to have a complete shit schedule while at the same time the biggest contender is facing two (or three) playoff contenders (and maybe one SB contender).

Scheduling quirks makes for poor statistical analysis.... and they could throw in projected SoS with it to maybe help, but probably still tough after 3 games.

Makes for some lols later in the season though if the Broncos complete flop.

I can understand them giving the Broncos higher chances than the Chiefs given the fact that they've got a 2-game lead on us, but I can't understand why they'd give the Broncos higher chances than the Raiders.

I guess it's due to the Broncos' last place schedule.
