Things that need to change for us to turn it around

Gay and Bolton need to play the majority of the snaps at LB
Thornhill in for Sorenson
Tyrann back to playing close to the line
Get Gordon ready to play a lot and they need to get him involved early and often
Ward and Jones need to get healthy
Jones back to DT
Frank Clark needs to take whatever he was taking the second half of the year I’m 2018
Spags needs to adjust his scheme to be more aggressive
Brendan Daly needs to be fired or at minimum put on the hot seat

The Franchise 10-10-2021 10:33 PM

Lol good luck with that.

They really do need to learn how to beat Cover 2.

ljmhawk 10-10-2021 10:35 PM

funny how you mentioned nothing about the offense except for Gordon….has this team never seen a Cover 2 in their life? jesus christ….you would think we are playing the steel curtain defense or the Ray Lewis Ravens. the offense is not focused at all. Maybe Mahomes should focus more on his team instead of making commercials or flying off to golf tournaments and NBA playoff games. drops, fumbles, interceptions.

Mecca 10-10-2021 10:36 PM

I think Sorensen is Spags secret lover so good luck.

Yeah Mahomes is the problem.

Mahomes not throwing interceptions week in and week out would help

All the focus in the world from Mahomes ain't gonna fix a play like that Pick 6 tonight. The ball was on the money and your best receiver bobbled it to the other team for 7 points. The team is a mess in general.

I’d put turnovers #1. This team begins with the offense. If they’re giving the ball away, then they’re putting even more pressure on a bad defense.

Some of those are on him, sure, but others literally have bounced off the hands of our receivers.

Oh my God get out of here with this shit.

Shiver Me Timbers 10-10-2021 10:52 PM

This D is a dumpster fire and the Offense cannot compensate. Hell, there is not an offense in the NFL that could make up for the D play so far this season. Patrick is pushing the limit and it is not working. Offense is not firing on all cylinders. Blame it on play calling or whatever. Bottom line- this team is 500 this year.

Wallcrawler 10-10-2021 10:53 PM

This team reminds me of the beginning of Rocky 3. Champ, smooth sailing, feels unbeatable, gets soft, doesnt train right, believes his own hype, gets absolutely destroyed by Clubber Lang.

This assbeating from Buffalo to fall to 2-3 is basically that 2nd round vicious KO.

Will they find it in themselves to get the eye of tiger?

Or will the bitches elect to stay down?

Gary Cooper 10-10-2021 10:54 PM

Not sure how much turnovers actually affected this game. The Pringle fumble resulted in no points. The Hill bobble that resulted in the INT was a big play which basically put the game away. However, they're already toast by that point. This game was basically over at halftime. Offense came out doing nothing in the 3rd quarter.

But yes turnovers have been a problem this year. The Chargers loss and Ravens loss specifically. Just not this game.

Mecca 10-10-2021 10:55 PM

Right after the Tyreek Pick 6, there was an INT deep in Buffalo territory (inside their 10 yard line). Basically a 14-point swing on those 2 possessions. Might have made a big difference. The 2nd INT was a really great play by the Buffalo DL.

Other than tonight against an elite defense, Mahomes has been as good as ever. The problem is that the defense is the worst in the league. By a mile.

chiefzilla1501 10-10-2021 11:00 PM

The offense needs to get Gordon snaps asap. I was extremely disappointed they didn't today. The way defenses are playing two deep we literally just need the wr2 and wr3 to be kinda ok at getting open downfield. They can't even do that. The Hardman Pringle experiment is over. Hardman is a good gadget guy. They need a true Wr2. It's not like this is brand new. The Pats have frustrated us with this same formula on D for years including last year. There is no excuse for our other receivers to not do more considering how much defenses pay attention to tyreek and kelce.

Pat throwing the ball into the dirt quite a bit and to a DE isn't a problem? Got it.

Score was 24-13 right before the Pick 6. So if you keep Buffalo at 24 and give KC the 7...it's 24-20 and who knows where it goes from there. Both of those turnovers were pretty big.

He’s not going to throw 20 interceptions. My advice would be to stop bitching about the NFL’s best QB (who has played at an elite level this season and has the offense leading the league in DVOA) and focus more on what the actual issue with the team is (the near historically bad defense that gives the #1 offense virtually no room for error).

The **** are you talking about? You cant give KC 7 points on that play. It was 3rd down. There was 0 chance they were getting the first on that play. They were going to punt if it wasn't intercepted.

Yes, the stats are just lying. I’m sure the best QB in the league with elite numbers this year is now suddenly bad just because

You can do both you know.

You can make a compilation of the throws that Mahomes spiked into the ground. But I guess those were great accurate spikes to you huh?

I'm talking about the INT at the Buffalo 10 yard line. Back to back drives with KC turnovers. The Pick 6 bobbled by Tyreek. And then a long drive by KC that ended up with interception around the Buffalo 10 yard line. Great play by the Buffalo DL to get that one. Anyway, those two drives caused a 14 point swing in favor of Buffalo.

Yep. Plus, they were about 80 yards from the end zone. It was a terrible turnover that put the game away. However, it didn't change the game. Just cemented the result. That game was never going in our favor.

The Chargers and Ravens games are where turnovers hurt us. This game, they just got their asses kicked on both sides of the ball.

If only Gay played more this D would be outstanding:facepalm:

Thornhill's injury he may never come back from. There is a reason why he is not playing more. Gunshy doesn't trust the leg won't stick his nose in a tackle and the speeds have been hampered. Ay this point Sorenson is the best we have. Missing out on Fitzpatrick is really costing us.

Correct. I don't see why we can't get on the same page here. Buffalo was at 24 points before the Pick 6 and KC was at 13 points. If the Pick 6 doesn't happen, Buffalo stays at 24 points. The next KC drive that ended with an INT at the Buffalo 10 yard line, kept KC from getting to 20 points. So like I said, it was a 14 point swing on those two drives. It ended up 31-13 instead of 24-20 because of those two turnovers.

I'll be honest, that 3 right end shit just sounds like some gimmick shit that gets 3 yards to me. Rather just like up with regular personnel and just play. We don't need experimental gimmicks right now. Just a WR2 that can lineup and run actual routes all over the field.

Maybe Buffalo drives the field after a punt..maybe not. They weren't doing much on offense at that point of the game. Anyway, the stat sheet shows back to back turnover drives by KC that led to a 14-point swing in favor of Buffalo.

It's weird because he slumps for a quarter or a half and then he goes ape shit and rains all hell on Defenses, in most games.

He's not aids all of a sudden. He will get more 2 deep looks and it's not just on him to figure it out. Andy and Eric need to have a better plan in place for when it happens.

Turnovers are Turnovers and it will happen but I think the Offense could stand to be a more crisp in the shorter passing game to open things up when someone wants to copy the TB game plan.

With that said, the design could be a lot more inspiring and I think a guy that specialized in WCO could do better.

He hasn't been anywhere near his best so far this year. But I think that statement applies to 95% of the people in the Chiefs locker room at this point. The coaching/playcalling hasn't been great, execution on the field very sloppy by various players including Mahomes.

He was as bad tonight as the Bills defense was good. Doesn’t mean he’s an issue going forward LMAO

It’s hard to imagine a more complete loss

1. Coaching. Why were we not dialing up the Blitz earlier. Why are we running when it is not working. Why does D. Will look some much better than MEH. Why are we taking kicks out of the end zone

2. Defense. They really came up with some stops, but were completely inept at times. When you have so many highly paid players looking lost, you have to think coaching is contributing. How many times can Sorensen get burned before we realize a practice squad player could do just as well. Where is Thornhill? Why is hobo spirit so contagious?

3. Offense. Have we never seen a Cover 2? We were completely shut down for long stretches. Mahomes looked pedestrian. Drops from Hill. False starts. CEH looked terrible. How many tipped interceptions has Patrick had?

4. Officiating. All in all, we got some friendly whistles, but that RTP was a dagger and completely wrong.

This team needs to start looking for talent that they can have on this team next season. Quit with the old dicks on one year deals.

Guice isn't old he's just an asshole.

Unless you want to see the defense be on the field even more, he has to stop turning the ball over. If your defense is terrible, the last thing you want to do is give the opponents more possessions, agree?

Guice is who people think Tyreek is.

My God end of last year I thought our interior O-line was horrid, and they were. But never thought we would also lose our very good tackles to career-threatening injury. This completely changed the direction of who we could bring in free agent wise but also defensively. I am not sure Brown can play LT and that Niang wouldn't be better there.

Hell, the front office had to know we were weak at safety with Thornhill struggling from injury. I think they overestimated Gay as a speed outside linebacker ignoring that he is a brokedick. I haven't totally lost faith in Veach he had a lot of hard decisions this offseason but I guess I expected the miracle worker we have seen in past.

Toub get way to much credit and influence. I thought it was time for him to go 2 years ago but he rebounded last year. Now he is back to getting too much say in who makes the team. If he was such a good ST coach he would make due with what he is given.

There was no fire in this team tonight. Either offensively or defensively. They need to focus on fundamentals and get back to what they are good at. When you need plays, go to the guys that can make plays. They didn’t do that tonight.
