At the start of the 2015 season, Long made the switch from guard to tackle. He started all 16 regular season games in 2015 and was selected to his third consecutive Pro Bowl.

Well, I figured that right when I saw it happen. Usually when somebody goes down like that after a non-contact situation, it's an achilles. Dang. He was coming around nicely.

With as beat up as Kelce looked today, this stings. If Kelce has to miss some time, I’m not sure Patrick has the trust in Grey. And obviously nobody is gonna do what Kelce does.

Maybe he should. It was obvious that Remmers isn't a starting T. For anyone. Got his shit pushed all day.

So the question remains now that we have an open roster spot, do we bring Fountain back to the active roster or maybe elevate Powell? Or do we use that spot to make the trade for Mack? Sign Gurley? I'm sure we won't stand pat with 51 players on the active roster.....just curious

I actually think Okafor, Danna, Nnadi, and Wharton did a fantastic job this game - heard Reed and Clark a few times as well - need to get Jones healthy

I really feel for this guy. He's been through so much, then goes in this year and is looking legit...then goes out on IR with a non contact injury...how the **** do you rupture your Achilles anyway? I mean damn...

When someone’s Achilles just goes like that, was it about to snap anyway? The play looked so innocuous. With ACLs a lot of times there’s some awkward movement. But with Achilles a lot of the time it seems like they just snap out of the blue.

Nearly had three TD's in five games. Not bad for a small school UDFA who just sneaked on the roster. Hopefully he can come back strong next year.

Hurts the team a bit but this is one of those that hurts just a little extra emotionally because of who it happened to. Kid was starting to get his feet under him with a role carved out.

This really pissed me off. This dude fought so hard to make the team and waited patiently to get his shot in this offense and now hes done for the year because the stupid "Football Team" has a dogshit football field. Fix your turf. And pick a new name already. Assholes.

FedEx field is known to have one of the worst turfs in the NFL year in, year out. I don't know why the NFL owners allow hundred-million dollar rosters to play on substandard fields in 2021.

We have 6 WRs on the roster now. Why would we bring in a 7th? Yes, I realize that's a question, but sometimes I wonder if people thought their remark through. Fortson is a TE. Hitchens got dinged up today. Jones is hurt. The priority is not another WR.

Gutted for Forton,, honestly thought he looked like a proper TE and probably our TE2 in the making. Was blocking really well and catching everything that came his way. Really hope he comes back

I was a Fortson doubter, but this is heartbreaking. The question is.. Should a guy like fountain make the switch? He's clearly just fringe NFL talent as a wideout.

Where is Josh Gordon at? Put him at tight end on a few passing downs, he's got the size and lots of speed can out run a line backer I would hope!

He looked like he was coming on, getting more and more looks.

This injury is a huge for Fortson and for the Chiefs. I'm glad he's young because Achilles injuries are so difficult.

That's too bad. Looked like he was just getting comfortable in the O.

At 6-1 and 212, that's a stretch. Those guys are usually in the 6-4/5 range and at least 240. Hoping Fortson can come back because he showed real promise. He made a beautiful catch yesterday.

It wasn't on a lot of snaps but PFF had him on something like a 78 grade, about the fifth highest on the offensive side for us, I think. I'm keeping everything crossed for him. Aside from the obvious graft and talent he seemed like a really positive influence.

Hopefully he'll make a full recovery and be back next year. Everyone loves an underdog story
