I still check the board once or twice a week to see what's going on. I got over message boards and stopped posting on Facebook at some point.

I haven't watched a Husker game in two years. Saturday is supposed to be fun and I'm not compelled to get BTN. I watch the big national games. I'm happy with those games and then whatever happens on Sunday.

I'm lucky to have some signed memorabilia from the Husker legends that I enjoy. I'll remember those things and those times. I'm not worried about whether the current team turns the corner. I don't control it.

It was fun to run smack with Big 12 fans back in the day. The Big 10 feeling isn't the same. The tradition is based too much on academics. The pageantry comes across as geeky/dorky or just strange to me.

The other Big 10 fans hate Nebraska because of the academics. Whatever, you know? I didn't go to college there. If they never embrace Nebraska, then so be it, I guess.

I remember some of my passionate posts. Those were the youthful days of hope and fun. I don't react that way to football games anymore.

Lol if you havent watched in 2 years dont tune in Saturday. It wont be fun this team is no longer fun earlier in the season it was fun to guess how they would blow a game. They've just flat out quit now.

I've gotten that way with the Chiefs. Still pull for them, still happy when they do well, but I'm not wrecked for days when they look like they did against the Titans. I'll always love football, both pro and college, but the wild fan in me that has his life chewed up after they lose is no more.

For me it was winning the Super Bowl. I no longer get violently pissed off and don't yell at the TV as much. It was a huge weight off my shoulders.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I have been a Chiefs and Royals fan all my life and have been a lurker on this site from the beginning and even the old KC Star board days. I check in often since this is the best source for news not only regarding the Chiefs but pretty much everything going on in the world.

While I enjoy a lot of the back and forth banter of you regulars, I choose not to jump into the fray. My own inside joke is this place should be called Bipolar Planet. Depending on the most recent game result, we will either have a top 10 draft pick or win the next 10 Super Bowls.

I am just an old fart that has suffered through losing seasons and playoff heartbreaks far too often to be too concerned with how this season has gone so far. There are a lot of games left and I have more faith in what we have to work with than we have ever had in the past.

Keep doing what you do Chiefs Planet and I will keep enjoying from the shadows. And by the way… Stay off my lawn!
