Another car question
Truck randomly started making a clicking type noise in the front when the truck is in motion with foot not being on the gas. This is probably a bad wheel bearing right? Theoretically how long would I be able to drive on it? Wont be able to repair for a few weeks.
|
Drive it till the wheel falls off.

Not knowing the year, 4wd or 2wd, it sounds like a CV joint.

Have you checked the tires? You could have a hail in the sidewalk then when you turn it hits the inner fender.
|
I thought you were getting a new car in the past few years?
|
Bill I think you need to blow a tranny

What year Ranger?
Does the sound change based on your speed? I had a U-joint in a Ford Bronco drive line sound like clunking at low speed, and sounded like it was coming from the front of the truck. Was fine at higher speeds. Put it up on blocks in the street |

If the hub is hot after 5 miles wheel bearing is probably out. |
