Fixed lol

Surely he's good enough to keep Niemann off the field.

Man you've gotta feel bad for the kid.

Prior to the leg injury, he was as good a college linebacker as I'd seen since Arrington. The guy could do everything. Excellent pass-rusher, very good in coverage, sure tackler, premier range. Just an outstanding player. A modern prototype.

He's just never been the same guy. At least Jerrah paid him before it was clear how diminished he really was. He should buy Vander Esch a steak or two.

Yeah, it definitely sucks for him. It’s why I don’t get big name players playing in bowl games.

I would think so. Especially if you can pick your spots with him after Hitchens comes back.

But it really may be 6 in one hand, half dozen in the other if they try to use him the way they're presently using Niemann.

**** it bring this piece of shit in for a look… to the ship!!!!

Doesn't matter, he's not Neimann.

ChiTown 11-02-2021 11:03 AM

6-2 243 who ran a 4.44 at the combine with an opportunity to shit can Ben Niemann? Yes please.

Wisconsin_Chief 11-02-2021 11:03 AM

May as well bring him in, or maybe just give Dorian O'Daniel a real shot at some PT. I find it extremely hard to believe he can be worse than Neimann. I'm so sick of seeing him out there.

Really no reason to ever take Gay and Bolton off the field at this point, though. I don't give a flying mouse turd if Neimann "knows the system" and all these other trash excuses they use to keep these types of players on the field. It's getting old.

ThyKingdomCome15 11-02-2021 11:03 AM

Niemann is not broken!

mkp785 11-02-2021 11:06 AM

He has GOT to be better than Nieman. We have Gay and Bolton to do most of the heavy lifting. Sign this dude. He won't say no, he's desperate....so are we. Perfect match.

The Franchise 11-02-2021 11:31 AM

I would at least add this dude to the PS. See if he fits the defense and go from there.

Gary Cooper 11-02-2021 11:33 AM

Bring him in. I'm sure he hates Rodgers like everyone else and would love to take revenge.

Iconic 11-02-2021 02:09 PM

I’m 57 and can kick your ass…ROFL

I've changed my mind on LB Jaylon Smith. KC should sign him.

Lots of ads in the video below, but it shows 2020 tackles for Jaylon Smith. The video is over an hour long, so gets your popcorn ready first.

I like what Nick Bolton and Willie Gay Jr. are doing and Anthony Hitchens is supposed to be coming back soon, but Ben Niemann has been playing almost 70% of defensive snaps, so that needs to be reduced.

booger 11-04-2021 01:34 AM

Other than the philly kc game I haven’t seen much of the eagles this year. They cut Eric Wison Tuesday. Would be nice depth. Maybe put Hitchens on short term IR

booger 11-04-2021 01:50 AM

Apparently he’s been pretty bad this year in philly. Their D is a mess with a first time DC and of course DC. Fletcher Cox openly questioned the scheme and lack of aggressiveness.

Wilson was pretty good with the Vikings. His strength is as a coverage LB/nickel LB/STs A role we have all hoped DOD would develop into. not as strong against the run. 6’1 230

Change of scenery might do him some good

2017 cincy pro day he ran 4.5 and just under a 40” vertical jump

What do we think is the reason for DOD not getting more snaps outside of ST? He really does seem more athletic than current options and no less stout than Niemann.

That’s the question many ask. He is only 215 ish so he needs to play will stacked behind a big DT but most suggest just using him in nickel and dime like when they stick neimann and sorenson in at lb and everyone cringes. I don’t see why he doesn’t get a shot in that spot and preferably pair him with gay or Bolton there. Or whoever but just give him a shot. They actually game planned him in a playoff game to spy Watson to keep him somewhat contained. Yet this year against philly and Buffalo and get killed with qb running designed running plays and they didn’t even try to stop the bleeding and give him a shot when he did have some success and a sack in that Houston game a couple years ago.

And the funny thing on special teams... the Titans game they elevated Darius Harris and rozeboom from the practice squad. Rozeboom made the most of his shot and got one tackle on a kickoff. DOD got his FIRST ST tackle of the season just the other night against the Giants. He has a grand total of one tackle half way through the season getting his first one.

Lots of head scratching regarding him and why they don’t find another LB and cut him if he can’t contribute on defense regardless of the reason

booger 11-04-2021 05:03 PM

Eric Wilson claimed by Texans. Poor bastard. From Philly to Houston.

Anyway, back to the DOD nickel LB subject. They have a taxi squad LB, Elijah Sullivan, that’s 6’ 215 and fits the same mold of a undersized LB who if elevated for a game this year he would obviously be too light to play anything other than nickel/dime LB. And again he’s a plus special teamer. So why waste a PS spot unless it has been indicated by the defensive staff that they could potentially have a small role for a player like that?

He went undrafted and went to camp with the 9ers

Love how physical he plays especially being under sized. Always around the ball.

Obviously needs to bulk up
