Let's talk about the Cowboys (Week 11)

A win to take us to 7-4 before the bye sounds nice.

MahomesKnows 11-14-2021 10:58 PM

I've got several friends who are Cowboys fans. Nothing would please me more than to shut them up.

ThyKingdomCome15 11-14-2021 10:59 PM

Most highly anticipated game this year.

tredadda 11-14-2021 11:00 PM

If the defense is even decent I expect KC to win. This offense when it plays like it is capable of is almost unstoppable.

Wallcrawler 11-14-2021 11:00 PM

Dungver absolutely throttled them. Now they think they're hot shit after obliterating an inept Falcons team.

We're gonna kill these guys and Skip Bayless will cry a river.

Cowboys 72-3

Hammock Parties 11-14-2021 11:01 PM

Our defense is 100% back now. We can handle a team like this if Patrick, too, is back.

We can handle them. We will win. We just win now. Four of our last five. We will keep winning.

It's what we do. It's what Andy has always done.

And everyone else can lose!!!!

Spott 11-14-2021 11:01 PM

Piss on the cowgirls.

Gary Cooper 11-14-2021 11:02 PM

I remember they were awesome 25 years ago.

smithandrew051 11-14-2021 11:02 PM

If we win this game, I honestly think we’ll get the 1 seed in the AFC

jettio 11-14-2021 11:02 PM

Andy Reid usually gives players the bye week off and Chiefs bye is on Thanksgiving Week this year.

Andy should say at the Wednesday meeting that if they beat Cowboys they get the week off, and if they don't play well, they will practice on Thanksgiving and have a team dinner with Turkey Baloney sandwiches and Fruit Cocktail.

lcarus 11-14-2021 11:03 PM

This is the toughest game left on the schedule if Dallas plays as well as they're capable of playing. If we beat the Cowboys, there's a real shot at running the table and finishing 13-4.

Rasputin 11-14-2021 11:05 PM

Better Cheerleaders than the Chiefs but they don't have Patrick Mahomes II

RaidersOftheCellar 11-14-2021 11:07 PM

Win or lose, 11+ wins now seems very realistic.

We’ll definitely find out how good our newfound pass rush is against that line.

Rasputin 11-14-2021 11:07 PM

I mean Patrick could be a flash in the pan but Dak Pres**** never was a flash.

Why Not? 11-14-2021 11:08 PM

Cowboys are a different animal on the road. We should be and are favorited

Being the first AFC team to go 5-0 against NFC in regular season would not be great for tiebreakers.

Chiefs might need New England to catch Bills. Ravens play Packers and Rams in Baltimore in last 4 weeks of season. Those could be interesting games.

Getting #2 seed would be cool.

Had this same thought. Win at home against the Cowboys and at Chargers seems like a strong possibility we could run the table. The Titans remaining schedule however is not strong.

Rainbarrel 11-14-2021 11:12 PM

Terique Owens is nearby to stand on an available star.

18 game season

Megatron96 11-14-2021 11:38 PM

DAL has been a good football team the whole season. The top-rated offense in the league in both yds/game and points/game. And a pretty good defense along with that, though they've fallen back a bit recently.

And they haven't amassed those stats against a schedule of pushovers. They have beaten some pretty good teams along the way.

But they don't have the best OL or the best RB in the league anymore, and their QB is good, but not great. And he's not that mobile. Finally, I'll take Andy over McCarthy any day of the week. After the performance the offense turned in tonight, particularly Mahomes mostly taking what the defense was giving him, plus the steady improvement of the defense, I'll take the Chiefs in a tight game over the Cowboys.

Hammock Parties 11-14-2021 11:40 PM

Out of conference road games are really tough against good football teams late in the season.

I think we win by 3. 30-27 or something.

Chiefspants 11-14-2021 11:41 PM

I am so ready for this game.

ThyKingdomCome15 11-14-2021 11:50 PM

DAL has a lot of talent on offense. It's may be the most complete offense in the league. On defense they have Parsons and multiple key injuries. That will make a huge difference.

If we win, I think we run the table. That puts us at 13-4.

I think 12-5 is going to win the AFC East.

Ravens probably have 3-4 losses in them. They might not win the North. If we run the table, we have the tie breaker against every other team in the North.

Really just leaves the Titans. Their remaining schedule is pretty weak, but they needed 2 missed extra points to beat Trevor Siemien today. They’ll lose 1 game they shouldn’t. With all their injuries on offense, I wouldn’t be shocked if they lost at NE and at Pittsburgh.

This is a really important game for the Chiefs.

big nasty kcnut 11-15-2021 12:41 AM

**** them. Chiefs by 90. I had to hear go cowboys every ****ing year when I lived in Texas. Now my team aka the planet earth team is crushing souls. I can't wait to see Prescott run for his life and Ezekiel get stuffed like a burrito.

We win this game, and IT'S ON!

Something like 12-5 and #1 or #2 seed.

I totally could see NE taking the East from The Bills. Belichick has that team humming right now and Mac Jones is settled in. Irritating, but impressive.

Bengals have the talent to take the North from the Ravens, who I think are overrated but perhaps not the experience.

Titans keep humming along, but damn-no Henry and now no Julio. You've got to think the wheels come off at some point.

It's unbelievable to think it may still be this wide open after we looked so bad a few weeks ago.

Idk how we end up with a better record than Ten, unless they completely melt down. They have an easy schedule.

The Titans aren’t really humming along. Their offense has been poor the last two weeks. If the Saints kicker could make an extra point, they’d have lost to Trevor Siemian at home. They’re still in a good position to get the 1 seed, but they’ll be vulnerable in the playoffs.

Yeah...they’ll need to lose at least one game vs a poor team while the Chiefs run the table.

This would be a really good game to get a healthy Clyde back and utilize him like we did Williams last night. Williams is sure handed, but doesn't make anyone miss.

Last night was the appetizer. I think the boys are looking at this one and smelling blood.

They've got their swagger back, they're going to take it to Dallas to get to 7-4 at the bye, and the rest of the AFC is going to collectively crap their pants and be going "oh shit....".

St. Patty's Fire 11-15-2021 08:28 AM

On paper this should be a game where both teams hit 30+, so I’ll predict a 17-10 chiefs win

Both defenses have the ability to play up.

It could very well turn into a 24-21 type game.

Clyde has never had a performance like Williams had as a receiver last night, unfortunately.

I hope that changes when he returns. CEH emerging as a receiver completes this offense, imo.

Almost no running backs have games like Williams had last night. That has less to do with Williams and more to do with scheme and targets than anything.

HC_Chief 11-15-2021 09:10 AM

This should be a great game, which means it'll likely be a stinker. IF both teams play their "A" game, this is GOTY potential.

Yeah I’m genuinely expecting it to turn into a very playoff grind type game. I hope we get one of those games where they let most calls go cuz this could be a truly great game if the refs don’t ruin it too hard.

dallaschiefsfan 11-15-2021 09:39 AM

With an increasingly stingy run defense from the Chiefs, I actually think this is a super favorable matchup for us. Cowgirls like to run the ball, despite Zeke not being what he once was. Their pass game is diminished when they can't run the ball very well. I think we likely present problems for them. In contrast, I pray they put Diggs on Tyreek. He's feast or famine. He can be burned if you use his ball-hawkish ways against him. Even with Gregory out, I hope Niang is able to go. Their defense is inconsistent and can be exploited.

EDIT: and yeah...if we win, we are looking good for the 2nd seed if we start a run after the bye. I don't think the 1 seed is as important. I'm bullish on the Titans ability to be upset at home by actual competition in the divisional round - especially after their cakewalk schedule to end the season.

Yep. I'm okay with the Titans getting the 1 seed. They'll be ripe for an upset.

Everything is suddenly breaking KC's way. Amazing how quickly it can turn. Many thought the season was over three weeks ago.

Even if KC has to go to Nashville in the playoffs, I'll like their chances, especially with revenge on their minds. They'd be lazer-focused for that one, and when the more talented team is equally or more focused, that doesn't usually end well for the opponent.

Hammock Parties 11-15-2021 10:42 AM

They even have an ancient RB.

Clyde has only had 3 games in his career where he eclipsed Damien Williams Super Bowl production (4 catches, 29 yards, 1 touchdown). He really has not emerged as a pass catching threat and Williams has eclipsed his production as a receiver consistently since taking over.

I think this has more to do with Pat’s decision making than Clyde’s ability as a receiver. The checkdown has been more a part of the offense than it ever has with Pat these past few weeks, and if they keep that same philosophy Clyde should really be a sight for sore eyes and people will get back on the train quickly. Darrel simply isn’t a very good running back, he literally is just average across the board at every skill as a RB. Great TD catch yesterday though.

Hog's Gone Fishin 11-15-2021 11:51 AM

If we can beat the Cowboys it will be the end of the Raiders because the Cowboys will come out pissed on Thanksgiving and take it to the Raiders for us, then we'll see the Raiders again in two weeks at home and kick their ass again.

I agree. Where I'll be concerned is if CEH still doesn't emerge as a pass catching option after he returns.

It’s a beautiful thing watching the Cowgirl franchise fail. I especially like seeing Jerry’s sad face on the television every December and January when they miss the playoffs. I so very badly want the Chiefs to destroy this shitshow of a franchise. An added bonus to a Chiefs victory is to make Skip F-Face come up with some lame excuse why Americas Team lost.

I can kind of see a scenario where the Titans hang on to the #1 seed but get knocked out in the divisional round by the Patriots, leaving the #2 seed Chiefs hosting the AFC championship game in Arrowhead. Kind of turnabout of that 2019 playoff situation.

Titans are smoke and mirrors RN without Henry and Jones.
