Let’s hope Vegas is right about the Vikings and EB.

Deberg_1990 01-12-2022 11:18 AM

No Josh McDaniels this year?

RunKC 01-12-2022 11:18 AM

God if I was a Jags fan and they hire Bill O’Brien I’d just kill myself

Direckshun 01-12-2022 11:18 AM

Here's a site that says Bienemy tops the list for next coaches for the Giants:

I heard they have a strong desire for Wink Martindale who they liked last time, but hired Judge instead.

Hoover 01-12-2022 11:48 AM

I'd love to see what EB could do in MN.

chiefzilla1501 01-12-2022 11:49 AM

Giants will go full idiotic parcells nostalgia and hire pioli who will bring a patriot stooge with him. I’ll guess Daboll.

Houston won’t hire anyone outside the patriot tree. I’ll bet on mcdaniels since his brother coaches there. Those two teams are predictable.

Could see the jags going full idiot and hiring BoB.

Great choice for the vikings would be mike McDaniel. Feel like they will stick with defense and go with Flores.

Bears hire Doug pederson.

Broncos hire bieniemy

Raiders hire quinn. Unless by some miracle the raiders win this weekend.

Chiefnj2 01-12-2022 12:31 PM

If the Jags hire O'Brien, they should just move the team to London because nobody is showing up to watch that shit show.

Bowser 01-12-2022 12:33 PM

He still sucks.

Direckshun 01-12-2022 12:55 PM

You can never know what goes on behind closed doors but the development of Josh Allen has been near-miraculous, and that's directly Daboll's responsibility.

He should legit be a HC hire this cycle.

Wisconsin_Chief 01-12-2022 01:05 PM

Any owner that hires Daboll or especially O’Brien to coach their team needs to be forced to sell their franchise. I can’t comprehend how a rich, successful billionaire could be so utterly stupid.

Reerun_KC 01-12-2022 01:06 PM

Daboll is trash.

Sofa King 01-12-2022 01:12 PM

With that list of names, this offseason's coaching hires are essentially a sneak peek of the coaching fires for 3 years from now.

Deberg_1990 01-12-2022 01:19 PM

Daboll was trash with the Chiefs. But he had nothing to work with. Nick Sirianni Has been ok so far. You just never know.

mkp785 01-12-2022 01:20 PM

EB goes to NYC (maybe with Dorsey)
Donks get Daboll
Minny goes Flores
I can see Jags being dumb enough to hire BoB
Vegas keeps their current guy
No idea what Chicago does (maybe OSU's coach?)
Harbaugh to South Florida

Amazing that with the shit show with judge and Flores and jack Easterby, the bellichick and parcells tree will once again dominate the coaching hires.

Flores
Obrien
Daboll
Mcdaniels
Maybe Dan Quinn (dimitroff/pioli)

Maybe pioli and dimitroff at GM

I keep hoping this shit show will die off but it just isn’t going away.

CatinKS 01-12-2022 01:30 PM

For what its worth.....I don't think of him as a Pro coach, but I also didn't think Kingsbury was Pro material either.

Elias Johnson
@ejohnsonNEWS
I can confirm, Matt Campbell was at the Bears/Vikings game. Saw him on sidelines…I figured he was there to watch David Montgomery. Sounds like he’s on the short list for the HC job in MN.

It's mind boggling. The older I get, the more it becomes apparent that half the owners in this league are just utterly clueless. They'd rather just go with a familiar name than try someone new, even when that name has been nothing but garbage.

It just makes no sense.

I don't see Harbaugh leaving Michigan. He's got a free ride there for a long time just for beating Ohio State. I think EB goes to the Vikings if he has a choice between them and the Giants. Bisaccia stays on in Vegas.

mr. tegu 01-12-2022 02:39 PM

The Giants job is terrible.

CatinKS 01-12-2022 02:54 PM

Another rumor out of Oklahoma that Lane Kiffin is being consider for the Vikings job and Jeff Lebby the new OC at OU would be hired back to be HC at Ol Miss. The Merry-G0-Round at OU is spinning faster and faster

Direckshun 01-12-2022 02:57 PM

A second website has Daboll and Bienemy tied for leading odds for the Giants job. That's two betting websites with the same assessments.

This is Sportsline:
  • Brian Daboll +300
  • Eric Bieniemy +300
  • Kellen Moore +500
  • Doug Pederson +600
  • Byron Leftwich +700
  • Jim Caldwell +800
  • Brian Flores +1000
  • Nathaniel Hackett +1100
  • Josh McDaniels +1200
  • Greg Roman +1300
  • Matt Campbell +1500
  • Patrick Graham +1800
  • Jim Harbaugh +2000
This is Sports Betting Dime:
  • Brian Daboll +225
  • Eric Bieniemy +225
  • Jim Harbaugh +450
  • Brian Flores +675
  • Byron Leftwich +700
  • Doug Pederson +725
  • Jim Caldwell +825
  • Kellen Moore +950
  • Todd Bowles +1100
  • Patrick Graham +1275
  • Josh McDaniels +1750
That averages them out to:
  • Daboll 262.5
  • Bienemy 262.5
  • Peterson 662.5
  • Leftwich 700
  • Moore 725
  • Caldwell 812.5
  • Flores 837.5
  • Hackett 1000 (only 1 listing)
  • Bowles 1100 (only 1 listing)
  • Harbaugh 1225 (only 1 listing)
  • Roman 1300 (only 1 listing)
  • McDaniels 1475
  • Campbell 1500 (only 1 listing)
  • Graham 1537.5
So far, the bettors think Bienemy and Daboll are the clear leaders here.

His record with the Falcons, a team with an actual quarterback, was basically .500 -- should fit right in at Denver.

Mike McDaniel may be a sleeper candidate. He seems really geeky, but so does Kyle shanahan.

htismaqe 01-12-2022 03:45 PM

Obviously the Broncos have learned nothing if they're serious about Dan Quinn.

And the fact that Bill O'Brien would be in consideration for any HC job, at any level, is hilarious. The dude has ****ed people over everywhere he's been. He's like BB without the wins to try and justify it.

Hoover 01-12-2022 03:54 PM

Miami needs to go Daboll imo, whether you trade for Desean Jackson or stick with Tua.

I think Harbaugh should stay but I think he's gonna try and use this as an excuse to get more from Michigan. We'll see if they pony up, most of that fan base hated him-up until this year.

So admittedly I didn't follow the BOB saga in great detail, but I thought he was a disaster as a GM and was alright as a coach?

As a tactician, he is. As a leader of men, he leaves pretty much everything to be desired. Go back and look at the sequence of events that led to him leaving Penn State for Houston. He's just a shit person.

Rasputin 01-12-2022 04:28 PM

I think Vic Fangio would be a perfect fit for the Raiders

Rasputin 01-12-2022 04:31 PM

If Eric Bienemy goes to the Vikes I will wish him the best of luck and hope he has great success and maybe we can have a repeat of SB IV with the same outcome.

I do with Eric Bienemy well as long as he goes to the NFC.

The Texans are the 8th head coaching vacancy this offseason. That’s the most I can remember in any given offseason, right?

Anyway, the odds on favorite at this time is Jerod Mayo.

Bienemy is 12th.

tmax63 01-15-2022 08:14 AM

Rumors out here in Donkeyland is Quinn to Denver and Harbaugh to the Raiders unless the temporary guy in Vegas wins a couple playoff games and forces Davis to take off the temp tag. Supposedly Davis told his guy "win this weekend andd you earn an interview for the HC job".

2bikemike 01-15-2022 08:26 AM

No doubt! You can literally bet on just about anything. Who does this?

Direckshun 01-25-2022 01:28 PM

Updated to reflect that Bissacia is a favorite over Harbaugh to be the Raiders coach by a hair. Bienemy is currently in 4th in those projections.

I included the Saints here as well, but it's too early for betting lines.

Direckshun 01-25-2022 01:31 PM

According to this link: https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelph...d-coaching-job

Doug Pederson is simultaneously the betting favorite for the Giants (Bienemy is 4th) and the Vikings (Bienemy is 2nd).

OP will be updated.

Direckshun 01-25-2022 01:34 PM

I will also mention that DraftKings has Bienemy and Pederson tied as betting favorites for the Vikings.

Not sure I should update the OP with that, however. Will wait to see if there's similar updates to that.

Direckshun 01-25-2022 01:41 PM

Oddschecker describes Nathaniel Hackett as the betting favorite for the Jaguars job.

Bienemy is 5th.

OP to be updated.

Direckshun 01-25-2022 01:45 PM

According to DraftKings, Kellen Moore and Nathaniel Hackett are co-betting favorites for the Broncos gig.

However, as an offensive mind and QB guy he has done phenomenal work with Allen.

According to DraftKings, Brian Flores has joined Jerod Mayo as co-betting favorites for the Texans.

IIRC, Allen worked with some QB guru to focus on his feet and throwing platform, which ended up making him a much more accurate passer. I could be wrong and misremembering, but I don't think Daboll had much to do with Allen's emergence.

That doesn't mean Daboll doesn't deserve a shot at a job, of course.

Betting lines are in for the Saints today, and Bienemy is #2.

Their DC, Dennis Allen, is #1.

Odds are that Flores and Deshaun Watson are a package deal this offseason.

Why is Bieniemy having so much trouble getting hired?

Seems if your team sucks you can at least get fans excited with "We're bringing the Chiefs OC in" even if having Mahomes makes an OC job a lot easier

Could be a lot of things.

Maybe teams think he's a puppet and Andy is really the OC.

Maybe teams think he's just a bad interview or doesn't have a good vision of building a team.

Maybe teams are scared off by his somewhat sketchy past.

Who really knows but at this point, it seems apparent that nobody really wants him that bad.
