Tyreek Hill fined $10k for despicable act.
https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl-fines-t...225136403.html
Tyreek Hill's 64-yard touchdown catch and run was one of the wildest moments in*quite possibly the wildest game in recent NFL history, but the NFL isn't happy with one part of the play. The league has fined the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver $10,300 for flashing a peace sign at defenders while running into the end zone, according to*NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Here's the play in question, which the NFL had no qualms about posting to social media despite the poor sportsmanship on display: This is Hill's*second week in a row*of being fined for a celebration that didn't draw a flag. Hill's punishment likely comes several days too late if you're the Bills, as he almost certainly should have picked up a taunting penalty after the play. Say what you will about the NFL's crackdown on taunting this season, but other players have been hit with 15-yard penalties for less. That lack of penalty may have ended up mattering, depending on how the Bills would have accepted the penalty. They could have had it applied it to the extra point attempt and hoped Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker missed another extra point, or they could have pushed the Chiefs' kickoff back 15 yards for a shorter field on offense. That latter scenario would have been pretty moot, as the Bills only needed six plays and 49 seconds to go 75 yards and, well,*you know the rest. Hill finished the game with 11 catches, 150 receiving yards and a touchdown on 13 targets. Tyreek Hill somehow 'can't believe' he got fined Hill reacted to the fine via his Snapchat account, expressing surprise he got fined for the peace sign and lamenting the lost $10K. The only surprise here is that Hill is surprised he got fined, as he should be well aware of*the NFL's dim view of taunting this season. As*Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson reported in August, the NFL instituted its taunting crackdown with Hill specifically in mind, because of his tendency to throw up the peace sign on long scores. Some on the league's competition committee also weren't fans of his post-score backflips either, or*how it all got thrown back in his face during last year's Super Bowl: “[The backflips], when you’re watching that and the gesturing, it’s not a part of a touchdown celebration,” one source said. “It’s obviously taunting. It’s purposely being disrespectful and you saw in the Super Bowl where it came back. A guy retaliates because he saw that it was being disrespectful and then now he’s getting him back.”* Hill was also flagged for his peace sign*multiple*times*before*the crackdown. |
Dumb

I don't think he was waving that back toward the Bills it was in front of him that's not really taunting at all and it's the piece sign.
NFL needs to let some things go but fines with late hits or when Patrick gets slapped across the face no foul or fines. |
This will surely make Tyreek think twice before flashing the peace sign in a huge moment ever again!
|
the nfl hates peace and won't give it a chance. goodell is a war monger.
|
A back flip is waaaaaaay more disrespectful than an entire unit of defensive players corralling together in front of the end zone camera to pose after making what they thought was a game-sealing interception in a Super Bowl.
That kind of group demonstration is totally fine and dandy. A back flip? When the NFL said you could celebrate TD scores? What will we tell the children?!!!! |
such bullshit
|
I think next time Tyreek should only do half of the peace sign and flip his hand around.
|
Only certain crews would have called that...in that situation...had this been the AFCCG against Brady...that would have been coming back. 100%

Taunting penalty is dumb. How was that even passed again?
|
The game would be called 27 seconds, as the Bills most likely would have scored 14 seconds faster if we kick off 15 yards deeper... Shoot Pat may have scored 6 in regulation with that much time...
|
$500 cheaper than the fine for choking a man out.
Ooookay Rog |

If they had applied the penalty and the bills scored quicker, Mahomes may have ended it in regulation.
|
so what does the NFL do with that fine money
they like give it to charity right? |
I was perfectly fine with Hill getting the deuces flashed in his face against TB in Super Bowl LV. If you give it out, you have to take it as well.
The NFL just won't have it altogether, which is altogether ****ing stupid. |
What despicable act? Did he throw a football at an opposing player after the play was over?

There is no way choking an OL is anywhere near worth as much as a peace sign. |

In negotiations to get an extension I'd be like remember that little fine I got ? yeah I'd like that money back on top of what we agree on.

He should fly the middle finger for Goodell to let him know he’s number one.

I get, though, that there's an escalation here. The NFL told Tyreek to stop it, presumably because it upset tom brady or something, and so every time he does it he's going to get fined. Now, maybe he doesn't care. $10,000 for him is proportionately less than one of us buying a ticket to the game. But it seems like at some point he'd stop it just because it's going to end up hurting the team at some point. But the backflips? That's nothing different than every other player's scoring celebration. Tyreek is simply more talented. And I really wish they'd ban that stupid defensive end zone thing. I'm not sure why it's not called for delay of game anyway as every loser 49er or Bear second-string scrub runs down and poses. |

Tyreek’s combined pom pom/peace sign fines are almost equal to Dak’s fine for inciting violence against refs.
NFL priorities. |

Take the fine….little punk would never do it again. 17 9 Rate This charliecharger says: January 29, 2022 at 7:42 pm I love good football players, but if the league decided to ban guys like Hill and Antonio Brown for life, I’d be in favor of that. But in reality, if you look at what we’ve become as a nation, these guys are trending toward normal. 34 16 Rate This rushbacker says: January 29, 2022 at 6:28 pm Kick the woman-beating, child-abusing piece of trash out of the league.
