Vic Fangio

He’s still out there guys! Players get replaced every year by better players! I don’t see why coaches should be exempt. We know Spags flaws. Unfortunately the AFC has all the high flying young stud quarterbacks that can score a ton of points! The Achilles heal for Spags defense! What ya say?

Jerm 01-30-2022 07:23 PM

Wink Martindale….

Reid holds onto his guys like he holds onto food.

No way it happens.

Jimmies & Joes are the bigger issue. Need better pass rushers.

RunKC 01-30-2022 07:30 PM

The defense made one mistake the first half which lead to a TD. Sorry but at some point you have to get on Chris Jones for letting Burrow escape on 3rd down multiple times. Those defensive calls were good; execution sucked.

Where do you think Sneed, Gay, Bolton, Fenton etc came from? You realize they had a lot to do with that along with Veach right?

This sadly. He will think it is on him and the offense to score just one TD in the second half and they win. Maybe he’ll lean on Veach to get him a legit 2nd receiver and some other playthings. Hopefully there will be a strong look at the defensive side of the ball personnel.

Yep. Pretty convinced Spags is the best we're going to get.

Chris Meck 01-30-2022 07:30 PM

It's shocking how good a defensive coordinator looks when he can get consistent pressure with his front four.

The Franchise 01-30-2022 07:31 PM

The defense held them to 24 points. Yeah we didn’t sack him a ton but they did their job. The offense needed to score more than 21 points and they didn’t.

True, but he picked a lot of that invisible front.

Zhawk 01-30-2022 07:32 PM

Not sure why anyone thinks our defense is the problem tonight. Well we DO have some issues there (every team does really and we have some guys who need to go).

But when our offense plays the way it did second half…the loss is squarely on them. All of them. Players and coaches. Starting with our usually excellent QB who played like dog sh-t the second half and overtime.

crayzkirk 01-30-2022 07:34 PM

is it the scheme or the players? A little of both? I saw one of the most expensive defensive lines do very little against one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL. It all starts up front and there's got to be a reason the Chiefs are #27 on defense.

People are too used to the Chiefs scoring 40. It's not a given to score 30+.

The Offense had the Bengals on their heels at 21-3 and Spags shit his pants.

The offense also did some shitting at the end of the first half. Just a FG there makes this game different.

Sure but they do enough in other games to where it's excusable to be average once.

Everyone is mad at the Offense for being an NFL average unit while tripping over each other to excuse the yakkity sax on Defense.

The defense held the Bengals to 10 points in that first half. This loss is on Mahomes. Inexcusable end of first half at the 1 and then…wait for it….

55 yards, 0 TD’s, 2 INT’s and a 12.3 QB rating in the 2nd half and OT

TWELVE POINT THREE

Ahem…our offense wasn’t average in the second half. Not even below average. I’d give our offense a D - in second half/overtime.

The Franchise 01-30-2022 07:44 PM

Literally if the offense does ANYTHING in the second half….we win that game.

Iconic 01-30-2022 07:44 PM

TWELVE POINT THREE

21-3. 1 sack on a QB that ate 9 the week before.

Nope.

MahomesKnows 01-30-2022 07:46 PM

The Chiefs are built to win on offense and they couldn't do it today. The defense wasn't perfect but they definitely did enough to win. This loss is completely on the offense.

comochiefsfan 01-30-2022 07:48 PM

How in the world is anyone blaming the defense?

What???

Look back at how many times Chris Jones had Burrows in his grasp or within his grasp, only to see him escape… that’s not the DC.

This D played good enough to win.

Our QB lost his mind, and our coaches abandoned the run.

This is on PAT and Andy\Bienemy for not playing smart successful football.

Spagnuolo picked his assistants and told Veach to trade for Frank Clark. So, it kinda is.

TomBarndtsTwin 01-30-2022 07:57 PM

Really?!? We think the Defense was the problem in this game??

All the offense had to do in the second half (and the last 13 seconds of the first half) is not completely shit the bed . . . . . . . . and they did just that.

I don’t think anyone was blaming the defense tonight. But we are in off-Season mode now. We’re just making discussion on what can be improved for next year that’s all.

Have yet another drink and go to bed. You’re embarrassing yourself worse than our offense did today.
