Unless Patrick Mahomes just decides "nah, I don't actually need any money...ever..." how the hell are you going to pay for a top of the scale LT, LG, WR, TE and ANOTHER WR. Allen's going to want something approximating Myles Garrett money to stay off the FA market. You have 1 year, his 5th year option and then a tag year (which is STOUT for DEs) so you don't necessarily have to cave, but if you give up another 1st, you're really in a tough spot when it comes time to contract talks.

I just don't know, man. That's a big damn gamble and I just don't think it's one we NEED to take.

Guys my sources are telling me the Chiefs are going to sign some players next week - probably, but maybe not, could be the week after or the week after. Then, going to go to a few pro days, maybe make a trade at some point - that's open ended forever - and then a draft will probably happen in early May....
