|
I NEED AN EMERGENCY PODCAST TO PUT THIS IN PERSPECTIVE
|
Yooooooooo there it is boys. THIS I’m happy with.
And that contract is a good deal too. |
Great move!!
|
Just so people know it’s official.

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t this guy more of a SS? So he’d replace Sorenson really right?
|
Aight throw some numbers at me. Stats, rankings etc. Gimmie the what to know. I have not followed this guy much.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Aye!!<br><br>Huge fan of Justin Reid coming out of Stanford. Nepotism!!!!

But that was in a new scheme. My guess is he’ll get back on track in KC and outperform this contract. |

A 25 year old entering his prime Reid at that price is a better value than a 30 year old declining Matthieu who would demand a lot more for the same term.
Smart sensible move by the Bertmeister. And fresh blood for our secondary. |
we got some goddamn range at safety now i tell you what
|
Damn good move. Let’s keep it up!!
|
I ****ing LOVE this move.
I either wanted Reid or Whitehead. |
Added a good secondary player at a decent price.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Given his age and the money, this is a good contract for Reid.</p>— Carrington Harrison (@cdotharrison) <a href="https://twitter.com/cdotharrison/status/1503562291794653184?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 15, 2022</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Brett Veach isn’t going to pay big money for 30 year olds except for a rare exception like EDGE this year (all the free pass rushers are around 30).
These are the types of signings that you make when you want to get value. |
I don't know much about this guy, but he is 6'1", 203 lbs, and 25 years old.

What about the toxic fan favorite money badger
|
Chiefs signed S Justin Reid, formerly of the Texans, to a three-year, $31.5 million contract.
With Tyrann Mathieu widely expected to walk in free agency, Reid arrives as the Honey Badger's replacement. The No. 68 overall pick of the 2018 draft, Reid has been starting since his rookie year. He was better in 2018-19 before a team-wide malaise took hold of the Texans in 2020-21. Rather amazingly, Reid has only one career pick, but he has had good seasons both in coverage and as a run defender. He just hasn't put it all together in a while. The Chiefs clearly believe he will be able to do so in a much better environment. |

That's a good contract for a quality starter

Side note - I'm happy we made this move before Tyrann signed elsewhere, purely for appearances.
|
Reid is a great signing! He’s not afraid to tackle!!

Love it.
Thanks for everything, Tyrann. Chiefs fans should appreciate everything you did for the organization. Now go ahead and tweet about how you hate us. |
For those of you who may not be familiar with him

Can’t believe we got this guy at these numbers. Crazy
He’s got production, size, speed and looking at his tape he’s played both safety positions. I like this move a lot |

Scratch #1/2 S off the list.
Now re-sign Ward, sign Za’Darius Smith and JuJu. Draft starts to open up fast. |

Good franchises do not pay for past performance out of loyalty. Appreciate the all-pro years and incredible run from honeybadger but it was pretty damn clear his decline started last year. There were games the dude looked like he wanted no part of making a tackle. He showed up his teammates in a demonstrative manner too many times for my liking and his "its never my fault" attitude got old. Hope he goes to a contender in the NFC and wish him well.
Love the Reid signing as well! The dude flies all over the field. Younger, faster, more explosive. |

It will be interesting if Tyrann gets more money than Reid on the market
|
There has to be moves coming tomorrow for sure. I would guess the Clark restructure/cut and the Mahomes restructure.
|
Love this move. Sick of DB’s making “business decisions.” Rebuild this thing with PHYSICALITY.
|
I could see Tyrann going to the Chargers purely for spite
