Hopefully it's a reasonable multi year deal.

Excellent and much needed. I like the value and it's only 1 year. Now let's go all out on defense in the draft and go back to the ****ing SB where we belong.

So we used the money we cleared up with dickhead Clark to buy JuJu.

Alright, I’ll allow it.

I mean it's like 1/3 of what Adams gets per year. Is JuJu 1/3 of what Adams is worth? Have to look at the market. $11 million is not that much right now.

He’s signing a one year deal. Juju, Hill, Hardman, and Gordon are all free agents after this season, so there’s basically nobody at the position in 2023. I’m sure Hill will be extended soon, but receiver is still absolutely a need, just not the top need.

DJ's left nut 03-18-2022 02:27 PM

Yeah - that’s a shitty contract.

Essentially zero upside in it and a significant year 1 cap hit.

For a mediocre possession receiver.

At that price point it’s an excellent signing. He’s young and we’re getting him for HALF of what these other WR’s are going for. Even Robinson got $15 million AAV in LA.

I like the contract and player

JuJu is young, fits the scheme and will have something to prove so he can earn that big bucket the following season. This move had to be made and we should all be trilled.
Invest in an edge with the first pick and defensive backs the next couple of rounds and we are ready to roll.

I'm saying Barthalalando Vernemyer is going load up heavy and I mean big boys up front on defense in the draft and find a RT. He is going fatties in the draft. Probably athletic fatties but still big men to make the D line stout.

Boxer_Chief 03-18-2022 02:32 PM

Gets almost 1000 yards rookie year, over 1,400 his next year. Then third year mason Rudolph came into play and he had a down year at 550 yards. Then the corpse of Ben comes back in 2020 and he puts up almost 900 yards. This year was down year but he was injured. I don’t get the hate for a young wr who has put up numbers on an offense with other weapons.

ToxSocks 03-18-2022 02:33 PM

Same money Chark got. Woulda rather had Chark.

Better than what's currently on the roster, but really hoping there's an early draft investment on a WR.

I’d argue that Hill, JuJu, and year 4 Hardman should be the best group of WRs Mahomes has had.

And if he does great maybe he decides to stay and not break the bank. And if he goes elsewhere for more nice comp pick formula move for us.

kccrow 03-18-2022 02:40 PM

Not going to lie, I think 10.75 is a little much for a guy that signed for 8.0 last year and proceeded to get hurt. Also, wasn't expecting just a 1-year deal. I'd have to think you'd try to get at least 2 years given all the potential turnover that could happen at the position in 23.

Either way, he's the guy that made the most sense at this point and if you can somehow get back that guy we saw in 2018 then you have a bargain.
