Y'all thinking KC needs to find Tyreek's replacement ASAP
... but really they need a legitimate TEotF in the worst way to supplant Kelce whenever he falls off the athletic cliff.
|
Mahomes will make all WR's good. Chiefs won't miss a beat
|
This just in-
We need to acquire players! |
Jody is the TEoTF, book it
|
3 wides signed. Drafted a TE last year. And have third wf that was converted to TE before injury last year. Just resign Blake...
|
Fortson and Gray will be groomed and ready.
|
Kelce is a smart and crafty route-runner, his game isn't totally predicated on athleticism. I'm sure at some point he won't be the best TE in the league anymore, but I think he can be a starting-level TE into his late 30s if he wants to. Similar to Atlanta-era Gonzalez.
|
I think Gray is the TEOTF. I think Fortson is an interesting fit as well. I think 2023 we may revisit the position, but I think 2022 would be too soon to give up on them.
|
I don't know if the end of 4 is a bit high to take the kid but the 7th is far too late. Dan Bellinger gives me George Kittle vibes man. Would love to see KC pick him up.
I don't have extreme confidence in Gray being a future #1 TE. I think he's a nice complimentary piece as he develops though. |

"Even after acquiring MVS, make no mistake: #Chiefs not done replenishing WR room - via trade, FA or draft. I mentioned their excitement about Skyy Moore yesterday... I'm told Jahan Dotson, Treylon Burkes, David Bell and Christian Watson all have big fans inside the KC building" - Jordon Schultz
I'm not sure any of these names really gets me on the edge of my seat. Am I wrong? |

The Chiefs can't, and shouldn't try in this in draft. Draft where it's strongest which is DL and secondary

Dotson is an Antonio Brown type. Burkes is basically AJ Brown. Bell is another guy I just don't get; too small, too slow, what's the deal? Christian Watson is an absolute freak with 4.3 speed at 6'5 and 207. And he's a football player, not just a track star. Probably the highest ceiling in this draft, although coming from NDS he will admittedly be raw-and so there is the possibility he just never puts it together. Is he Randy Moss? Or JAG? Just my opinions. |

Watson I like most of what I see but I don't know many guys with his frame that succeed, I think he's rawer than you're suggesting, but maybe I just need to see more of him. Totally agree on Bell. Not for me. Both Burks and Dotson's RAS scores have been a bit disappointing. I could probably see Burks being of more immediate use and more versatile. |
Dotson scares me. His three cone was like 7.3? And he’s not electric which is what you’d want to see for that smaller size. Some of the edge players have similar 3 cone at 6’4” and 250+ lbs.
|
Someone posted in the lounge that the chiefs could be interested in Trey McBride. I’ve heard that his stock is going up right now after an impressive pro day- he ran a 4.54 which is blazing for a guy his size. I don’t think he’ll be there at 50 and I think they have bigger needs in the first round although Kelce is 32 so we have to start planning for life after Kelce.
