I'd be lying if I said I thought they would come back. I mean c'mon, no team had ever come back in a championship game from that big a deficit. But I never stopped watching and cheering for my team. A historical performance.

This was one of my favorite NCAA Championship games, right up there when Villanova beat Georgetown many years ago.

I thought they were dead at Halftime.

I didn't think so either at the end of the first half but at the start of the second they scored 2 quick baskets and the commentators said something about it being the biggest deficit blah blah blah and I said to my fiancee "well a 16 seed never beat a 1 seed until they did"

Someone posted Chiefs/Texans vibes at halftime and I wouldn't say I was quite that confident, but it was pretty similar in that UNC was playing poorly enough that I thought KU had a chance if they just pulled their heads out of their asses.

I was feeling more AFCCG vibes than Texans vibes though.

Kansas’ final run ended with

-Winning the regular season in the Big12

-Winning the Big12 tourney

-Breaking the all time wins record

-Winning the National Championship

I was amazed at HOW they came back. They didn't come back traditionally the way NBA teams usually do in that situation. Sure they made some key threes once they closed the gap but it was Harris picking pockets, playing stout defense and continuing to go to the rim (after getting their shit packed in and missing everything under the sun in the first half).

God tell me about it. The NCAA Tournament is a cruel bitch.

I'm just happy for Bill, after so many frustrating years of coming up short, he finally gets his second championship. Even more poetic that he did it the year his father passed away, I bet he's smiling down on him after last night.
