Way to early. His defense had been good but he has sucked at the plate. He was 0-2 three times tonight.

I'm quickly developing an immense dislike for this team.

I think we could pinch hit for Carlos Santana.

Starting to think we might not win the World Series this year

I just wanted to get some sort of pleasure out of watching baseball. Don’t need another chore

People wonder why opening day wasn’t sold out this year. A lot of Royals fans aren’t buying in until they see actual progress. People don’t want to spend their hard-earned money to see a crappy team.

I'd settle for them being competitive.

Right now, I think .500 is pretty much a faint dream.

I'm just hoping they finish above .400.

Royals now hitting .208.

People need to lower their expectations and realize that 2014/15 was a freak occurrence that isn't likely to happen again for another 20+ years. The Royals are what they are; an average team for an average baseball market.

Torkelson was taken in the same draft and looks better than Witt, Jr. Could it be coaching?

It's 7 games into the season. They go 5-15 or worse over the first 20 games, then I'll start bitching.

Torkelson was taken a year later and had 3 years of college.

MLB Network was commenting how far Dozier is off the plate,and cant hit an outside pitch.Meanwhile,he's our best hitter,haha.

my bad, I should know better than to believe anything the Royals announcers say...

I know I sound like a bummer fan however I've been around a while and seen the Royals in all four of their WS appearances. From 85 to 14, this is pretty much what I remember the Royals being like. Except now, they seem to keep their players instead of trading them off. Well, the bringing back of old players is something that's a little different, too.

Not a fan of the Davis, Holland nor Greinke signings. Seems like fan service to me.

I think Witt, Jr. will be fine. I also believe that there's a lot of pressure on him to be the next George Brett. Sort of like Alex Gordon; he was going to be the next George Brett. I hope they can just let Bobby be Bobby...

If they gave Santana the Justin Upton treatment and called up MJ Melendez....fortuitous things would result. But Dayton Moore is awful and they would never consider it.
