They counted Alonso's after the buzzer and not Rodriguez's. The fix is in.

Does he really go by the Polar Bear? Or is this just some holthus like dipshit name? |
Get ****ed Alonso!!
|
Clearly didn't visualize properly. Now never return Alonso.
|
Great job Julio!! Alonso go back to meditating
|
Pujols is done. Can't wait to see JRod vs Soto in the Final
|
Pujols is exhausted
|
Mickey Mantle could hit the ball further than any of these Caribbean juiceheads.
|
Rodriguez is going to destroy Soto assuming he's not too tired. Perhaps Vlad will return next year and get some competition for him.
|
Just in time for the final.
And, who is this BadBunny clown? |
Rodriguez got tired. Could be all over.

Might be a parallel between those Yankees & these Royals.
Could BWJ be another Jeter? Could he change the atmosphere? I know one thing for sure that Matheny is no Buck Showalter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Then look up what you win if you win the HR Derby. He makes something like 400k per season but gets 2 million to win the derby. For Alonso, the one night of the derby matters far more than an entire season on the Mets. I read an article recently that Alonso's career baseball earnings are something wild like 1.1 million salary, 4 million in HR derby winnings. And you're out here calling him a try hard. For shame. |
Alonso is making 7.4M this year.
|
Quote:
Ultimately the idea is there is so much money on the line, all participants should be going full-on full-blown try-hard. Except I guess that age fraud Pujols who made himself a hero in the midwest and a vampiric villain in Anaheim, to the tune of 250 million horribly spent dollars. |
Quote:
Pujols was an established star. The Angels knew what they were getting. **** the Angels anyway. We never get to see one of the best players of this generation play on TV or in the playoffs because their front office is incompetent. We fans got to see the best 11 year run a player has ever had. Better than Ruth, Mantle, Griffey etc. we started to see the aging taking hold. Everyone did. He still was one of the top players of the current game but no longer HOF level of play. |
Quote:
Mike Trout is THE best player of ALL generations ever. Get that right and then we can talk about a guy that everyone knew even in his amateur days was way older than he claimed. There is a scene in the movie 'Benchwarmers' that directly clowns on Pujols himself. Pujols should definitely be a first ballot HOFer if you mean Hall of Frauds. But we can never discuss Pujols if you have that much disrespect and vitriol in you about Trout. |
National League uniforms look outstanding.
American League uniforms look like ass. |
Damn that was one sweet double play
|
Goldy with a homer for the Senior Circuit

The NL-AL league pride aspect has been killed off by interleague play, and there's way too many substitutions. Too many stiffs, too. Tony Gwynn, a starter, was still playing and scored the game-winning run in extras in the 1994 All-Star Game. That was probably the last great one that was an unforgettable classic. This game used to have moments (Pete Rose running over Ray Fosse, Reggie Jackson hitting the transformer at Tiger Stadium, Dave Parker's outfield assists in 1979, Fred Lynn's grand slam) but the game lacks a defining moment in the last 25 years. |

The All-Star baseball game isn’t that great but you do have pitchers trying their best to strike out the best hitters in the game. |
Tonight is just a shitty game
|
Quote:
Yeah, I just kinda follow it online these days. Not even interesting enough to me to actually watch at this point. I really think inter-league play (which I like) kinda ruined the ASG. Along with some of your other points. At least during the recent Royals glory years I had some sort of rooting interest but I can't work up any give a shits about watching a dude who will be on another team next week. |
These announcers are a real snooze. Never thought I'd miss Joe Buck, but at least his voice and delivery had some life to it.
