QB Tiers

I saw this in a post on Facebook... thought it was both spot on and kind of funny with how they listed it out.

penguinz 08-05-2022 10:33 AM

Herbert should not be that high yet. He has won nothing.

Neither has Allen... but, it's a valid point. As with all these kinds of things, the debates will be fun.

ChiefsCountry 08-05-2022 10:37 AM

Its Mahomes, Brady and Rodgers then the field.

Yeah, I thought Herbert should be a tier or two down. I think he'll be good and he'll lose some close games to the Chiefs over the years, but I wouldn't put him in Tier #2 yet.

I should watch Sam Darnold more just to see what's going on there.

cosmo20002 08-05-2022 10:39 AM

I'm not sure if Wilson still qualifies as a Superstar.

I'm also not sure Carr qualifies as above Above Average.

New World Order 08-05-2022 10:42 AM

I think Dak is better than Little Guy.

Of course he also plays in a much worse division

New World Order 08-05-2022 10:43 AM

"Sam Darnold" LMAO

He won the starting job over Chase Daniel and Easton Stick.

Love the categories of:

Dak
Derek Carr
Sam Darnold

ToxSocks 08-05-2022 11:07 AM

Rodgers might be a superstar, but Allen is the better QB right now.

Yeah, I think we are going to see Allen, Burrow and Herbert crush it this year and really set the stage with Pat for some incredible games over the next decade.

TripleThreat 08-05-2022 11:16 AM

I don't think Lamar Jackson is a superstar, I really don't.... He had those first few years where teams seemed to be caught off guard but since then, it seems like coaches and analysts have put together schemes specifically for his skill set and he just doesn't seem that great....

That being said once Brady and Rodgers leave the NFC, will there even be a QB in the NFC worth a damn besides Stafford?

Allen has taken his team to the playoffs and has won big games

Herbert has done neither.

Yeah but its not because of Herbert.

You're looking at team success rather than individual talent and ability.

Prison Bitch 08-05-2022 11:26 AM

So 1/3 of the qbs in football are superstars?

Gay.

New World Order 08-05-2022 11:31 AM

Where would Alex Smith rank on that list?

Lot of good QB's in the league right now.

In the AFC sure, once Rodgers and Brady depart, there’s only Stafford left, maybe Murray and Lance but Murray is still coming up and who knows about Lance.

Funny how it could be the afc west and nfc west with the best qbs from said conferences

smithandrew051 08-05-2022 11:40 AM

Is Kyler Murray really a superstar?

MarkDavis'Haircut 08-05-2022 11:43 AM

Pimples is 15-17.

It is not all his fault they missed the playoffs last year but if they are going to hype him as the next Hall of Fame QB then make the playoffs.

Most def.

Eleazar 08-05-2022 11:45 AM

Mahomes, Allen

Rodgers, Brady

Burrow, Herbert, Stafford

Nobody below those three tiers matters because they aren't good enough to win a Bowl

Allen has won the div twice, made the playoffs and won 2 playoff games. Justin has done none of that.

Chargers have been a very talented team overall for a while now. Coaching and QB's that make mistakes when it matters most is why they haven't done much.

No. He's a smurf who starts hot each year then fades.

Pasta Little Brioni 08-05-2022 12:12 PM

Horrible. Russ is not a superstar

There are 3: Pat Aaron and Allen.

I think you're getting lost in the nomenclature...

RealSNR 08-05-2022 01:52 PM

Man, Sam Darnold is below average for sure, but surely he's not the WORST starting QB out there.

Poor guy.

smithandrew051 08-05-2022 02:43 PM

Man, we need to make a Tiered list of CP posters

TribalElder 08-05-2022 02:48 PM

Watson is way too high

Not with his study ethic

Was thinking the same thing tbh, same with russel and very much so with Lamar. I think Lamar is so ****ing average. The hype around him is stale and old.... I think Matt Ryan is honestly too low. I think he's going to surprise some people on the colts...

I quoted these. Penguinz beat me to it. The love fest for Herbert is weird.

Wilson is probably higher. But he had some really bad games down the stretch. Remains to be seen if that’s Russ or the Seahags.

RaidersOftheCellar 08-06-2022 12:06 AM

If I could have any QB other than Mahomes, it would be Herbert. Better than Allen, Rodgers and Brady at this point. Way better than Burrow.

Herbert over Rodgers? Ha! Thanks for the laugh.

Despite the MVPs, I don’t think Rodgers is quite what he used to be. I don’t see him consistently making the plays that Herbert did in the 2nd half of that Vegas game. That was an absurd display of talent. Rodgers tends to wilt in the big games.

Even more so I think you hit it spot on. Rodgers reminds me a lot of Peyton manning with Indy. Always the season league MVP but come playoff time he just drops turds or plays well but doesn’t play as well as the other guy.

The one time he won the SB in 2011 his receiving corps was stacked!

WR greg Jennings
WR Donald driver
WR jordy Nelson
WR James Jones
TE Jermichael Finley.

I mean that receiving corps was nasty.

Jerok 08-06-2022 10:17 AM

I'd rather call them stars than superstars. Mahomes, Rodgers, Brady are superstars.

Allen just needs one more year of elite production/playoff wins.

Burrow, Herbert, Russell, Kyler, Lamar, Stafford are all stars.
